Doom Spending?

you're in my demographic, only surgery would slow my face from falling into my mouth. And that is serious diamond money.

Was recommended, so I'm gonna try laser tightening. Nuking my face. I'll let you know, after I've spent the first pennies of my Christmas gift. I really don't want surgery right now but I know the face folding scenario.

I just spent $75 buying all the romance books by Lisa Kleypas that weren’t available at the library :lol-2: I feel like that counts. It’s at least a month of absolute escapism.

You have excellent taste!

Omg!! I love her books! It’s my guilty pleasure! I literally read IRS tax code all day… so after that I need something... less intense and less 'reality'!! So I love historical romance novels or really horrific serial killer books. Or you can go with Lisa Gardner and get the best of both of those genres.

lol…. I never read romance at all for all the reasons people usually give, but after the third season of Bridgerton ended I was sad so I started reading the series and I’m hooked. I literally only read escapist regency romance now. It’s a good reminder of the importance of passion in one’s life I think.

keep me posted, canuk_gal.

I went for a consult for the laser treatment--and the one I would "need" (or would provide the most change) is the most invasive and requires more downtime than I am willing to provide. And pain, I think. I already have post herpectic neuralgia in my face so I really don't need more pain from a cosmetic laser procedure. I guess the only solution is to buy 5 ctw diamonds for my ears so no one will look at my marionette lines!!! :wavey:

@canuk-gal, Could your doctor inject a small amount of filler to correct the marionette lines?

I do like the way you think regarding the 5 ctw diamond earrings.

Yes, she did mention this...but she is very conservative and I think it might not make a great deal of difference. If I want the big bang, I should go to LA for treatment? LOL

My lobes are small...and although I said I'd never wear big studs again, I might change my mind? :wavey:

doom spending indeed
butter has got so expensive they have halved the size
why does butter taste so good ....
sigh

Can you get the cheaper super market brand Daisy? I get the Coles or Woolies in-house one and it’s about $6.50 for 500g so half that price.

ironically its only available at the Woolies that doesnt do deliveries, and its out of stock there anyway
but i was just making a point, the price of dairy is very topically right now with a low NZ dollar and high milk fat prices, its good for farmers but not for domestic consumers
i dont actually buy butter anymore because i dont bake anymore with working at a bakery and getting plenty of free treats
i spread my toast with buttery -

it tastes pretty much like butter
but the price of butter is very bad for work, we make sandwhiches with margarine but we bake with butter

The only reason I suggested it @canuk-gal is it worked well for me and lasted well over a year. I walked in and left the doctor’s office 20 minutes later feeling happy with the results. My doctor is also very conservative when it comes to cosmetic procedures.

@canuk-gal, Do you mind me asking what laser treatments your doctor recommended? That will be another rabbit hole I’ll go down researching LOL.

I've had filler before--few years ago and was also happy with the results. But I think I may be past that now LOL. A lower lid blephroplasty would help with bags under my eyes (inherited from my dad!)

If memory serves, Platinum Laser.

a bleph is pretty easy recovery and very long-lasting result.

Been doing a clothes shopping haul past few days, because why not? Spring will show up sometime? Also, there's only so many cans of food I want to buy, keep, and rotate.

But someone (someone here?) jumped right on Grace's very special charm today. I totally love this!
