Dream Proposal?

Mimzy''s post reminded me of a story one of my teachers told us in high school. He rented out the town theatre (which is huge btw). He then made his gf sit right in the middle and had them switch off all the lights so she was sitting in the pitch black. The whole theatre was empty. He then walked onto the stage with a candle in his hand and proposed to her. I thought it was really sweet but not very practical because it would take her ages to get to him and my first instinct would be to hug and kiss him so for that reason I wasn''t crazy about the idea. Kudos for effort though...

Sometimes they just need a bit of inspiration...

Personally I don''t have a perfect proposal because I don''t want to plan it out,since I already plan out every single detail of my life.I hate to admit it but I''m probably a bit like Monica in friends (except for the obsessive cleaning). I just want it to be all his idea and be pleasantly surprised. I don''t think it will be fair on him to have an idea of the perfect proposal because then he might feel he can''t live up to it and I really don''t want to put that kind of pressure on him.

Hey ice princess! After bringing up proposal ideas w/ my bf again, he told me that I should stop giving him ideas. He said it was like studying for a test - he''ll figure it out, but he just hasn''t gotten around to cramming for it yet. So hopefully this means I will be in for a surprise! Yay!

i dont have an exact dream proposal, i do however want certain things to included..i really want all our friends to have a part of it, i want them all there, i want it to be original (what girl doesnt) i want him to NOT get on his knees, not one or both, i just feel that it seems like hes begging and i dont need or want him to beg i want it to be natural...those are somethings that i want...

I feel like such a nut because I have come up with lots of proposals that would be perfect [for me]. I wish I could telepathically osmose these into my boyfriend''s mind. Anywho, these are all a permutation of "birthday" gifts since my birthday is on Wednesday and I was so sure I''d get proposed to....however that has all about dissipated. Bollocks.

Without further ado:

1. Get personalized stationary with my first name but his last name on it. In the box, I''d cut a square in the stationary to have the ring sitting in...Then, I''d open it, see the name, the ring....voila!

2. I would love to get one of the cool new iPod nano''s in green with "Will you marry me?" engraved on the back. Double score.
