So I haven't ordered this dress YET. But I'm 99.9% sure I'm going too, I'm just hesitant because it's twice the price I was hoping to spend on a dress. However, I feel fan-freaking-tastic in this dress, and nothing else has made me feel (or in my eyes, look) that way yet. I'm getting antsy as I'm a worrier, and I worry that I won't order it in time for our September wedding. Anywho, I posted a few pictures before, but these are much better since they came from an actual camera instead of a phone (yay for camera batteries being charged!

The only other thing besides the price is that it's strapless. My family members that have seen it in person and/or pictures say it looks beautiful on me the way it is and I don't need to mess with it, though if I choose to add straps it'll look good too.

I feel beautiful in this dress and thats something that doesn't happen often, especially with dresses!

The tux in the picture is one they happened to have set up and we loved how it looked. FI won't wear a brown tux, but I'd still like to get the same style and everything else (that vest, tie, shirt color) with the tux being black.

My bridesmaids dresses haven't been picked yet, but we're thinking either a brown (which looks fab on all of them) or some kind of gold or champagne color (if we can find one that'll look good on all the girls). But I ramble too much, on to the pictures!!

I'll start with the only picture we took of the back. I love the way it looks in person, it's probably my favorite part of the dress, it's just not a great picture. That and the dress was much too small, so please excuse my back stickin out there, and my icky elbows!!!

full length shot. I'm standing on my tippy toes in this picture so the dress wasn't all on the ground at the bottom.

This is also the same coloring that I'd be ordering. It's a light gold underneath, diamond white lace, and then a champagne sash.

in this one you can see what I mean about it being on the ground more, my toes got tired after a while!

last one, closer up. The little wrinkle you see in there around the waist line, thats there simply because the dress was toooo small on me :)

Oooh, very pretty. I like the way it looks next to the tux.

WOW. That would look fabulous with the ann taylor ad flowers!!! I think it looks great on you-- and just right with that tux! How much is it, as a percentage of total wedding budget?

What a fantastic dress! It is going to look lovely on you, and it smashing with that tux! I think it would look lovely in black with the same vest...you''re set!

Can''t wait to see it on you in your size!

That dress is absolutely beautiful. If you can afford it, I say go for it. Alternately, you could try to find something with the same shape but not so much beading, and it should be cheaper.

Your fiance looks easy to get along with and very agreeable

hee hee hee

On a serious note, The dress and the tux look amazing to me. You have very good taste

You have very purty hair...I hope you wear it down for your wedding...lovely color!

The dress is very pretty and I also think it is very flattering on you! I wasn''t sure I wanted a strapless dress, either...and then I tried it on and loved it. I think it looks great on you.

It''s simply gorgeous, partyjewels!!!! The pics are great, yes there are some small details that will be "ironed out" when the gown is fitted to your body properly, but I say this is the ONE! It looks wonderful with the tux, the back view is very interesting (in a good way!)...I think you have a winner here for sure!!! Congrats!

Wow! What a gorgeous dress!!!

I wouldn''t add straps unless you feel like you need the extra support or didn''t want to worry about it slipping down a little.

I think that dress is absolutely stunning and looks great on you!! Who makes it? For future reference of course!

It looks great on you-I don''t think I''d add straps either-it looks so nice as it is. That tux in black would be perfect for you FH.

What a gorgeous dress!!!

BEAUTIFUL!!!

Could you maybe order it from Pearl''s Place or RK for less? That might help with the budget issues. It looks beautiful on you!

Is that Maggie Sottero''s Jessica??? That''s the #2 dress on my list (mom loved it but I''m not crazy about it for a beach wedding). It''s a beautiful dress, and you look great in it!

That dress is simply gorgeous and looks super super-great on you!! I say go for it!!

It looks beautiful on you; as if it were made just for you!!!!

Have the necessary adjustments made and run with it!!!!!

GORGEOUS DRESS!!!!! WOW!!!!

It looks so good with the tux too!

I think it''s the perfect color for your skin tone.
If you don''t end up getting that dress for some reason, pick one that''s the same gold/champagne color. It looks great!

I love the back, too! I looked at a lot of dresses with that antique lace look- it''s beautiful! Well done!

Yowza! It''s gorgeous!!!!!

I really like the color on you; it''s very becoming! And it has a light, ethereal quality.

The colour is so perfect on your skin tone and with your hair. Lucky you!

Gypsy: I''m currently trying to either find the Ann Taylor add that those flowers were in, or someone who has a good printer so I can bring it to florists and say I want something like this, for this amount of money, what can you do for me?

As a percentage of the lower end of the budget (we''ve got some wiggle room but want to stay on that lower end) it''s about 1/10th of it. I''ve been thinking though... I''m paying for this wedding, and I want that dress! (we''re doing a large addition on the house and FI is paying for all the upfront costs of that, I know got the good end of the deal!) Plus, if this is the only thing I go that over budget on (and the wedding rings are NOT included in the wedding budget
31.gif
) then I''ll be in good shape.

urseberry: I''ll be able to afford it, I just feel bad since I''m sure theres somewhere else that extra money can go to that doesn''t seem so selfish. The few dresses I''ve found that are similar to that style that I''ve actually been able to try on just didn''t look the right way. I did try on a slimmer styled dress that was just completely plain (well ok, it had a jacket thing over it but that didn''t fit me the right way) and it looked very nice, and it''s like I know I''d be able to find a plain dress like that somewhere for a really great price and then dress it up with jewelery and what not..... but then I look at the pictures of this dress and convince myself a little more that I should just go for it

heraanderson: "Your fiance looks easy to get along with and very agreeable hee hee hee" That made me laugh out loud, my sister said something along the lines of ''Wow, I''ve never seen FI looking so good!'' when she saw these pictures. Thanks so much!

surfgirl: Thank you for the compliment on my hair! Unfortunately it''s not my real color
28.gif
It''s actually the result of an old dye job that has since faded, since I lost my job I haven''t felt right about spending the money to go get it done again, but I do like what it''s faded too, just not my roots! I''d been planning to wear it down, or at least half down, in soft curls (which I get naturally). It''s hard to tell but in one of the pictures I had my hair pulled back in a low side ponytail and my mom said she liked it best like that, but I''m not so sure. At least for that I''ve got more time to decide!

julabean: I hadn''t wanted strapless for a few reasons... one, everyones dress is strapless right now! And two, I feel funny in them, like naked-funny! lol. My sister who doesn''t normally care for strapless loved the dress as is on me too, so maybe it''s not all that bad :)

FrekeChild: I am considering adding the straps because I do feel like I need the extra support and I am VERY worried about it slipping down! For future reference

Hudson Hawk was right on, it''s Maggie Sottero''s Jessica. If you look at her website you can find a better picture of the back of the dress, but I find that the front just doesn''t look right on that model they''ve got it on. They also show some pictures of real brides wearing it, but of course no pictures do it justice!

MustangGal: I didn''t even think of that, I hear people talk about them all the time, but how would I even go about that? Would I just be ordering the dress online and then finding someone to make an alterations? I''m clueless!

Hudson_Hawk: Right you are! I think it could work for a beach wedding, it does have a more formal feel to me, but the train in the back actually makes me think of the water as odd as that may sound.
19.gif

Thanks again ladies! I spent all last night looking online at shoes to wear with it, hehe. You''ve all made me feel wonderful about going ahead and ordering this dress but I''m still just so nervous about actually ordering it!

Starset Princess: thank you! I knew before I even went looking that white white just doesn't look good on me, and I was so glad that that was the color they happened to have for me to try on, it's hard sometimes trying on those dresses imagining how much better it would look in the right color or if it fit!

misysu2: It's probably my favorite part of the dress, along with the detailing thats on the sash in the front. My grandma called me about half an hour ago to let me know that Martha Stewart was all about weddings today, and they were talking about how it's so important for the back of the dress to be beautiful as well since it's usually what people are staring at during the ceremony! lol

jas: lol, thanks!

HollyS: Thank you so much, I think it like it so much because to me it has this old hollywood glam feel too it, maybe thats not the right feeling, but it's the best way I can describe how it makes me feel

Independent Gal: You guys are too much

I have to decide if I want to have them try and get my hair to match the color it's faded to that you see in the pictures, or if I want to go with the dark redish color it was before (which I had when I first went in to try this on and it also looked just fabulous with this dress), or if I want to try and match my natural color more closely.... I don't want to be looking back at pictures years from now and go, Goodness! What was I thinking?!!
The colour is so perfect on your skin tone and with your hair. Lucky you!

That''s too funny-- my mom is doing the same thing. "on weddings.com today, they''re talking about this..." or "today on so-and-so show, they were showing this..."

You''re right about the back of the dress-- your guests are going to be mesmerized!
