Drew Peterson engaged...

Peterson''s new FI has to be deluded in thinking that "it won''t happen to her." This is the ONLY way she could seriously consider marriage with that psycho! We''ve all heard it before haven''t we? We''ve heard it from that friend or sister who gets involved with an abuser, drunk, serial adulterer, etc. believing that he won''t bring his ills on them.

Admittedly, I didn''t follow this whole thing very closely but I''m wondering... do you guys think its possible that Stacy actually did leave him (out of fear?) and maybe changed her identity?

No. Its highly unlikely, but Drew P. would probably tell you otherwise...

Stacy was biological mother of two small children, and the adoptive mother of two more (Drew''s other dead wife, BTW). What woman would just "walk away"? Yes, she was young...but those were her babies and I have a hard time seeing how she could just seperate herself from them so easily. Ask any mother on this site, you have your hard days...but in the end, your heart beats for your kids...and, logically, if she was so "scared" why would she leave her babies unprotected with the man that scares her so badly she has to run?

Drew is bad news. Literally and figuratively. He used to have sex with Stacy (17, BTW) in the basement of the home shared with his 3rd wife (now dead) Kathleen while she slept alone upstairs. He has no sensor that tells him "this is wrong, this bad, this isn''t right" ergo Drew does what he wants. With little remorse...

Now, he''s engaged to another unsuspecting, admitably dumb, young girl while his other young wife is missing, and he''s on the hook for the death of his 3rd wife...its a complicated, seemingly unending, web.

Now they are saying that the FI''s father is telling Drew to keep away from his daughter. It''s going to be a ongoing drama, I''m afraid.

I live in the next town over...her father is having a fit but she is 23 and can do what she wants...Drew is such a loser! He is offering her a car, vacations...appealing to her sense of wants. She has 2 small children and the father of her children is having a fit too. I know lots of officers he worked with and everyone is disgusted. Just a thought.....maybe she doesn''t really want to marry him but get him to confess (his arrogance will bring him down) and collect reward money if she lives?

I was thinking the same thing. They need to get Dr. Phil to grab that girl and do an intervention before she leaves her two kids permanently.

I somehow lost track of this story sometime in the past and thought he had been put in prison!

It''s impossible to comprehend how someone could be so stupid to marry a person suspected of such crimes but clearly she isn''t the sharpest tool in the shed or possibly she''s desperate to go out in a blaze of glory and will do anything for that! Eh, just sick.

This new girl is a hot mess. She is 23 years old, has two children (one boy, one girl ages 5 and 3), she''s never been married, and by the looks of her, she is 5 miles of hard road hung out to dry. She is/was(?) a waitress at the TGIFridays in Bolingbrook Illinois...and they met 4 months ago at a laundromat.

She was just ripe for pickings, a young, impressionable, train-wreck. Drew was able to walk right in and play the big hero, become her savior. He was like an answer to prayers. He''s even quoted as saying "he''ll look after her and care for her the same as he has all his other wives" (woo hoo). Which will mean no more slinging fries to make ends meet...so what if its at the cost of her life, safety and freedom...she''ll be able to be comfortable.

I just find it interesting that he''s engaged to one woman while he fully claims his current wife, Stacy, is still very much alive and is just missing. How does he plan to marry a new woman while he still has a legal wife? I think he''d be asking for trouble to even file for one of those divorces that is sometimes granted when the spouse is "missing". And it''s not like he can legally marry this Christine without one...so, its'' a catch 22 for sure.

Drew Peterson is so far gone at this point it''s not even funny. I hope he gets nabbed soon.
