Dust DESPERATELY needed for my nephew, please!!! :o(

I am happy to say that I can FINALLY report some good news:

THE DUST IS WORKING!!! HE'S OPENING HIS EYES!!! :appl: :mrgreen: :appl:

My MIL went to see him yesterday, and he was able to open his eyes just a bit. Not only were they open a little bit, but he was actually LOOKING at whoever was talking to him! This is HUGE because he wasn't able to open his eyes at all until yesterday. We are sooo encouraged by this! Thank you so much, everyone, for all the dust and prayers and general PS positivity. I have NO DOUBT in the power of PS dust! You guys are awesome, and keep it coming PLEASE!!! :wavey:

What horrible news, Irish... I'm glad to learn about him opening his eyes. He undoubtedly has a long journey ahead of him, and I will be praying!
 
I got chills when I read he was opening his eyes! I have been very concerned and sending thoughts of recovery his way.
 
I've been re-checking this thread often waiting for an update and that it just fabulous news!!! I'm sending more dust his way in hope that the improvement continues!
 
Irish, I'm so sorry that Cody was in an accident, but am glad to hear that he's opening his eyes and seems to be on the road to recovery! Tons of dust to him and his family. I'll keep them in my prayers!

Update: They were able to remove the chest tube now that his lungs have healed enough. Also, he is OFF THE VENTILATOR AND BREATHING 100% ON HIS OWN!!! :appl: :appl: :appl:

We did get some bad news from the doctor, though. He seems to think the brain damage is worse than they had initially believed. How he knows this, I don't know. It was my understanding that they couldn't assess the level of brain damage until he was fully awake and conscious? (He's opening his eyes consistently, but he doesn't really seem to be fully conscious yet.) If there are any doctors reading this, please feel free to chime in with an explanation! :confused:
