They gave her the dress Monique Lhuillier came on and had the dress delivered to her....what great publicity.

I was able to see it. She bid on a ML dress on ebay and didn''t meet the reserve and then got an email saying it was close enough, so would she want to continue the transaction outside of ebay. She did and they said that they use paypal all the time but this time they couldn''t, so how about a bank wire transfer. She does this and then they email her back and tell her she was scammed. ML came on and said she was so moved and gave the lady the dress for free. I am sorry but I think it is a little ridiculous. You open yourself up to getting scammed and you get something that barely anyone else could afford. I don''t see how that is more moving than giving the dress to someone that has lived through truly hard situations and wouldn''t have the means to pay $2,000+ for a wedding dress but that''s just me.

The girl didnt even seem grateful, she acted like either she knew it was coming already or that she deserved it. One time I bid on a Tiffany necklace outside of ebay, my own fault, and got scammed. They took my money but I never received the necklace. I was new to ebay as well, and learned my lesson.

Tiffany never came and gave ME a free necklace! LOL

If that were me I would have personally been more emotional, $2400 is a lot of money (but perhaps for her it wasnt) so if ML told me she was giving me the dress of my dreams I would have burst into tears! But thats just me.

But techinically she still paid $2400 for the dress ML gave her, so I guess all is fair.

She didnt seem grateful at all, I would have broken down crying!!

I too was scammed on ebay...I was so dumb, I bid on a handbag (the seller seemed legit), and she would not send it to me for months and months, but still took my money- $400+. I continued to email her to no end, telling her I was calling the police for her scamming me out of my money. Finally after 3 months of ridiculous excuses on her part, I finally got my FAKE FAKE FAKE bag. I basically knew that was coming, but I think her original intention was to send me nothing. I emailed ebay but they did nothing about it. Hence why I NEVER go on ebay anymore, I was never a big ebay person anyway, I think it is ridicuous....
