Emerald Cut Diamond - Girdle

I''m back looking for an emerald cut diamond, and I think I have found one. http://www.whiteflash.com/emerald/emerald-cut-diamond-2240620.htm

I have a couple of questions re: it. I''ve found this same diamond cheaper at Abazias.com, but from reading this forum it sounds like Whiteflash is more reputable. Is that correct? Also is the actual ring band better at one or the other?

Second, the girdle on this diamond is very thin-thick. Is that a deal breaker? How important is the girdle?

Lets take a look for you....

This is a virtual stone that WF would have to call in for evaluation. Concerning the girdle, it very much depends. It could be perfectly fine if the very thin part isn't in a vulnerable area and or only measures in the microns, but it is best to have a trusted expert/ vendor evaluate the girdle for you.

Between the two vendors, I would go with the one that can supply images such as ASET, Idealscope, photos etc as to me it it too much of a gamble to buy a fancy shape without. You could ask Abazias if they could provide images but I don't know if they can do so, Whiteflash however will be able to provide the images needed.
