Emerald cut + rose gold halo

Hi PSers!

I got engaged over the Thanksgiving break! He asked what I wanted and I said an emerald cut, rose gold, not too high, and nothing fancy (aka filigree or intricate engraving) for stuff to get stuck in at work (healthcare field). I think he did a wonderful job!!!

Emerald cut 0.93ct, J VS2
Sylvie setting, 14k rose gold

Ignore the awful angles---the diamond is not crooked although the pics may make it seem that way with how I'm holding it.

Thanks everyone! I have loved rose gold since the first time I saw it but wasn't sure how it would look with an emerald cut… When looking at rings, we weren't able to see rose gold to even compare with various diamonds so I was very surprised with how it turned out! I definitely see more color in the diamond in the pictures versus real life. All of the diamonds, including the main one, look more white than I expected!

Thank you everyone! I agree, it does give the diamond a pink hue sometimes in pictures which is fun! The band is 1.5mm which I really like--didn't want a thick band. I will probably go with a plain rose gold band of the same size for my wedding band. I love that a wedding band will sit flush with it--I didn't think I would care but I am really glad it will.

It is weird trying to get used to wearing a ring on my left ring finger but I'm adjusting ok

Thank you! I didn't originally want a halo--everyone has one!! Something about this setting just worked though and I fell in love with it. I liked it in white gold but LOVE it in rose gold.

That's a beautiful ring! I like how the round melee stones contrast with the long facets of the emerald cut. Always something for the eye to look at with that. We need more pictures!
