Let me (belatedly) congratulate you on receiving the gorgeous ruby! I have always wanted a ruby and yours is exceptional. I love the idea of a ruby the color of cherry nail polish! I can't wait to see it set, and I love the setting you have picked.

AGBF- Should I admit that I cheated? I had two possible ideas for a ruby ring that kept popping up in my head. Once I found a ruby with just that right shade of red the size of the stone dictated the way it would be set. I overnighted my stone to SK before he picked stones, it ended up taking longer then I had originally thought, but it was worth the wait!

Once I found a ruby with just that right shade of red the size of the stone dictated the way it would be set. I overnighted my stone to SK before he picked stones, it ended up taking longer then I had originally thought, but it was worth the wait!

My dear cokitty, please remember that we never call anything we do in pursuit of obtaining jewelry, "cheating"! Therefore, by definition, you could not have, "cheated" when you acted in a speedy manner to obtain your ring; you were being prudent.
