Hello! I just graduated from my undergraduate college career and would like to use the money I received (500$) to have some Emerald studs made. I haven't seen many real emeralds and need help with the color. I am currently looking at stones from two different vendors between 4.3mm - 5mm. Here are two of the choices. Which color do you all like best? They will be set in 18kt rose gold stud settings.

The second pair looks oddly like a pair of apatite studs our store has. They look way too pale for me to even think they're emeralds.

The pictures provided make it very difficult to judge these stones, but here's my novice opinion.

The first pair looks dark, both look wonky in the picture, especially the one on the left. The second pair looks very light but glowy, and the stone on the left looks to have a big inclusion in the table/crown. If it wasn't for the inclusion I'd so go with the bottom pair pending better pictures. Treatment level, origin and price would help when choosing between the two.

First pair look included but may not matter when on the ears. Most likely to be clarity enhanced with resin but I cannot tell how heavily it is treated. Again, may not matter for earrings but it's good to know what you are getting.

Second pair is very light - lighter emeralds tend to be clean but these are really light, almost non-emerald like. I am almost tempted to call these green beryl, rather than emerald. The one on the left looks to have an obvious black-ish inclusion.

Both pairs have issues but for the price, you'll have to compromise and decide what you can / cannot accept.
