Employee Discounts?

Hey! As I browsed fantastic diamonds at South Coast tonight after dinner at Wolfgang Puck''s Cafe...I wondered...what are the employee discounts at places like Tiffany, Chopard, Harry Winston, Carter, ect?

Does anyone know (or work at them)?

I would imagine there aren''t discounts, or if there are, they''re minimal.

Thanks HH- I know that places like Tiffany & Chopard do give discounts...but didn''t want to inquire as to how much, so thought maybe 1 or 2 on PS might know more

a google search will answer the question regarding tiffany. they list a generous employee discount among their benefits. there are also threads on ps that address the tiffany discount.

The fiance of a gentleman I used to work for has worked for Tiffany for years. I never asked her specifically what her discount was, but she indicated it was healthy. I would love to know just how healthy it is.

I googled and found an answer on purse forum.

Tiffany''s: As of Jan 2009 30% off silver, 10-15% off diamonds (and other fine jewelery I''m guessing).

I would guess the rest are similar.

I''ve worked at a few retail stores part time while DD was in elementary school and even though I received an employee discount (10 - 20%), all the stores I have worked at offered a special discount twice a year (up to 50% off). If that is the case at a jewelers, I may consider that as a possible part time job on of these days.
