Hello! Yup, we are engaged...and I have pictures to share!
First, some background. We started looking seriously last December. I stumbled onto PS by accident and, boy, was it fortunate we did. The advice we received here helped us find wonderful, fantastic vendors and, ultimately, develop our ering. We are pretty thrilled with the results.
Center stone:
1.145 cts, AGS 0, H VS2 from GoG. Charles, Jon and Marie were fabulous, patient (many questions on our part and very informative replies on their end) and worked with us to make the experience manageable. Lots of smiley faces!
Setting:
Oh my gosh, I love Larry Van Craeynest and the talented folks at his workshop. I was impressed with his non-pushiness. He was more interested in discussing the craft than pushing for a sale (GoG was similar in this respect too). It was so refreshing. I heart Larry.
The setting is platinum and based on the VC 460 design. We removed the rectangular side accents and moved up the dainty chased flower details. The head is a fleur-de-lis with split prongs. The band and scroll between the flower and head are outlined in delicate milgrain. The end product is extremely special and we love it.
