Engagement ring sizing - it fit perfectly 2 weeks ago but now...?

Hi everyone, With the help of all the helpful pricescopers that gave such great advice we finally purchased a ring and got engaged. About two weeks ago I got fitted - size 4 seemed too tight while 4.5 was way too loose. I thought 4.25 was perfect and about 2 weeks ago the 4.25 fit with just the right amount of tightness. Now all of a sudden, it feels loose. It is constantly turning and while it hasnt fallen off, i can pull it off my finger pretty easily. What is going on here? Should I get it resized? My only concern with that is that if I put on a little wait then a size 4 may be way too small...Any advice?

Gaining weight/losing weight, where you are in your cycle, and the weather can ALL affect your ring size. I would wear it around a bit longer to see if it still feels loose. If so, then you can get it sized down.

It''s probably just differences in water retention...
I know that some people get little "sizing bumps" on the inside of the shank...
Some people find them uncomfortable... but, they might be good if your finger size fluctuates.

My fingers fluctuate according to the weather (morning, noon and nights are different sizes), seasons (loose in winter, tight in summer), and water retention. This is normal. I would wear it a bit longer and decide which size seems to fit best.

I don''t know how long it''ll be before you''ll wear a wedding band with it, but wearing both rings will make it feel tighter. I don''t think I''d size it down just yet unless you''re really in danger of it falling off your finger.

How much size fluctuation have you noticed just due to weather, water retention - a quarter size or more?
I''m afraid that if I order something that fits perfectly now, it won''t fit for a few days every month...

I have noticed at least a 1/2 size difference in my fingers depending on the weather, water retention, or other factors.
My advice would be to get your fingers sized when you know you are not swollen (if you have another ring that you know fits, make sure its not tight or loose).
I wear a 6.5 on my left ring finger and sometimes my ring is so loose it will spin and come off easy, and other times I have to use Windex to get it off

I am sure this varies from one person to another. Mine is about 1/4 size but it still bothers me a lot.
