Excited to finally share my 30th anniversary upgrade!

I discovered pricescope earlier this year when I began looking for an upgrade to my engagement ring, and I’m so grateful to all of you here for sharing your wealth of knowledge about diamonds. I was a lurker, too shy to ask, but I learned so much from this forum which ultimately gave me the confidence to help choose a wonderful diamond to celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary. This was my first venture into buying such a big ticket item online and out of country (you should have seen the bank teller freak out when I told her what that big money order was for...she almost gave me a panic attack), but all the testimonials here helped me to take that leap and I’m so thrilled with the result. Oh, and while I was at it I also added a 1 carat eternity band in platinum (H, VS2) and a platinum 2.5 mm band. And now I’m very excited to introduce you to “Elton,” as my oldest daughter’s boyfriend has named her (better than Liberace!!) or “ring-pop,” as my husband affectionately teases as he protects his eyes from the glare

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I just received my ring in its new setting on Friday and I'm very happy with it. I used the macro lens to take the pics but in real life it's incredibly delicate. I was in love with the Tacori Full Bloom setting and this is quite similar in style. I can't wait for the sun to finally come out here...it's been rainy and overcast for days, so that I can get some great shots of the amazing sparkle in my diamond!

Gemgirl, I shopped around several online stores but ended up choosing this ring from Blue Nile. It's their French pave 1 carat eternity ring in platinum. I wanted a ring that would sit quite low so that I could wear it with many different rings....I'm one of those girls that like my rings to sit flush. This ring is only 1.75 mm high so goes perfectly and it's the most comfortable to wear. I love the profile too
