Hi Everyone. I''m about to buy a diamond from Whiteflash. I have narrowed down my choices between two ACA diamonds.

https://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-2163485.htm

https://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-2145452.htm

The first one is $9,735 and the second is $7,049. The biggest difference as far as I can tell is that the more expensive one is two color grades higher than the other (F vs. H). I can''t decide wether it is worth it to go with the higher color grade (and less inclusions). From what I''ve been told, jumping from H to F should increase the price around 1700....yet the price difference between these two is 2700. Is there something I''m missing here? (all of the light performance data looks the same to me.....)

Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

There is not such fix formula on the correlation between color and price.

#1 1.020c F VS1
#2 1.174c H VS2

Clarity also brings up the price and a slightly smaller weight brings it down.

I would go with the F color if it''s in your budget - if not, an H is still very white face up. Either would make a gorgeous engagement diamond.

If your budget allows, go with the whiter color.

Good Luck.

$2700 is a big difference to me (that could go towards a very nice setting), I'm budget conscious vs color sensitive so I'm going to pick H since it will still face up quite white.

I''d go with the F.

I didn''t look at the links, sorry... but here''s my general feeling. CUT being equal (and killer), I would always choose the larger stone - or the least expensive, as long as both stones are white and eye-clean. And I don''t personally think there''s enough difference in an "F" vs. an "H" (when they are both set in a ring) to pay more for.

But that''s just me!

I love my F. But I also love my H color ACA''s (earrings)from Whiteflash. At first I couldn''t really see a difference in color. To be truthful, I can now, now that I have got used to looking at both, but it''s mostly from the side view and the H''s are beautiful. I don''t think the difference is worth paying an extra $2,000+ for. I can see a difference, but the H''s are definitely white and they are gorgeous.

I agree with those saying go for the H! I wouldn''t want to pay that much more for two color grades...I would rather spend the money on a beautiful setting or a really nice wedding band...

yeah,, agree.. i go for the F too..

(maybe because I am rather colour conscious that my minimum is a F... and i love E colour because i cannot afford D colour..)

Ditto!

I am in the ''H'' camp; it''s still a very white colour and I would prefer the larger size, not to mention the HUGE saving, which could go towards a spectacular wedding band or a divine e-ring setting. Plus, VS2 is plenty good for me...

If it were me I''d take the the H but I know I can live with the color. Not everyone can.

Have you contacted WF to see if they might have G being cut and on the way?

I''d go for the H

R u very color sensitive?

I am and love, love love, my F!
