So sorry you have been there too @caf . It lasts a long time doesn't it?

Yes, sorry to say it does. They are forever changed. It is heartbreaking, painful and frustrating. Best advice I got - meet her where she is (that changes over time.). But do know- they heal. My daughter is the bravest person I know. I’m so very proud of her.

@ilovegemstones, I’m so sorry for all your family has gone thru and has to go thru with this upcoming trial. I wish there was something I could do to ease this burden for you, your daughter and your family.
i can’t even imagine trying to deal with the grief of losing a loved one on top of all of this. Any of these things alone would be a lot to deal with. I admire your strength. My heart goes out to you and your daughter.

Your deep love for your daughters has come thru on all of your posts. I’m so glad your daughter has you. Please reach out here if your need support. The trial is going to bring up many emotions.

@caf, I was thinking of you and your daughter as I was reading this thread. I hope things are getting easier for both you and your daughter. Just wanted you to know I’m sending good thoughts your way.

Thank you @Calliecake. Much appreciated. Yes, the more years that go by, the (I’m not sure how best to say it) stronger she is. I’m amazed at her resilience. I’m incredibly proud of her.

Happy to say things are starting to look upwards!!!!! Healing is spreading slowly and more smiles are happening and a sense of relief. Summer has really helped. So have all of you!
