So I purchased a fancy orangy pink pear diamond to go with my fancy intense yellowish orange diamond in a bypass ring. The pink is quite pretty but I'm not sure if the orange diamond doesn't overpower it. First up the vendor pic and then some solo pics of the pink diamond.

And some of both the diamonds together. These were all taken on my back deck. Some in the shade and some in the sun.

I think they look fantastic together

What are the dimensions of each?

The orange diamond is .31 carats 5.56 x 3.56 x 2.33
The pink diamond is .22 carats 5.13 x 3.25 x 1.95

I hate to say it because I love that orangey pink, but at least in the light of those photos, I'd have to agree and say that it does look overwhelmed by the intensity of the yellowy orange or orangey yellow...I'm sorry :((

I think if you halo both in white diamonds, it will make the color of both stand out and they will look great together.

This!!!!

Absolutely lovely pair of diamonds! Pears are such a smart buy for coloured stones. The dimensions look positively huge for the carat weight.

Pink is really difficult to appreciate in photos, and even in real life it is such a delicate colour on diamonds (if it isn't delicate, it costs a year's worth of pay or more!). I think it looks lovely in some of the photos, which means there must be some angles in real life that when it catches the eye it is beautiful.

I DO see some of the modifying colour, but, it doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Any plans for them? I like FCDs loose for some reason.

I sorry to say, I too don't like the colours together - I think the pink is drowned out by the orange intensity....

Beautiful individually but not together.

The intensity of your yellowish orange FCD makes the fancy oramgy pink look almost colourless. They look great when by themselves but not as a combo colour-wise. Size wise looks perfect.

Cool FCDs!
I find that pears often face up large for their weight.

I really like that pink.

Pear shape is the ideal shape for fancy color diamond, since it enables to show the most color out of all shapes and usually carries a premium price.

I like both of them apart, but not together. The pink does appear almost colorless, or flesh toned, next to the yellow/orange.

What you really need now is a blue marquise - blue looks wonderful with both pink and orange, and will provide the necessary contrast to set the two colors distinctly apart. :naughty:

I like the 2 stones together-I agree with enhancing the color by adding a diamond halo around them. It's all in how you set them!

I thought radiants take the cake in terms of showing the best colour?
