Are inclusions on the edge of stone a risk for chipping, breaking, and further cracking of the diamond, specifically this one?

What is the clarity grade? They usually say that the dangerous ones are the ones that reach the surface or the girdle.

not likely to chip or crack after a diamond survives the harsh polishing conditions during cutting. to be safe, inspect the diamond to see how close the feather is to the surface of the pavilion and girdle.

That one is an SI1; the other one I'm interested also has something on the edge, which is a VS2. How ironic that these are some of my top picks.

Edit: That's actually an SI2-- which is quite clean for one. Could it be because the feather is closer to the surface = lower clarity grade?
The comments under clarity says: Twinning wisps, clouds, and surface graining not shown.

I probably wouldn't worry about feathers in a VS2, but of course ask the vendor who is selling the stone. SI1 probably isn't a problem, either.

Sorry Diamond seeker, my mistake. It is a SI2. I edited my earlier post.
