February's birthstone is Amethyst- Would anyone like to share pics of their Amethyst?

Years back Jackson Crossroads Amethysts were being offered for sale. They are know for their blue flash. The mine has since closed. I snagged one back in the day.

This was for my last significant birthday, and Amethyst is my birthstone; a 9.4mm Concave cut by Richard Homer, the most expensive Amethyst I have ever purchased:

It is set in this ring, with a pair of Sky Blue Topaz cut by Doug Menadue:

That cut really brings out the beauty of your gem. It’s fabulous.

The royal purple stones are amethyst. The white diamonds are LGD and the center is a natural dark violet grey.

Beautiful ring! Is the center a violet grey diamond? It is so lovely and I have never seen one before.

Thanks! Yes, dark violet grey.

Here is another dark violet grey. The color gemstone band is amethyst and sapphire, and the diamond band is LGD.IMG_2222.jpeg

The oval looks grey on its own most of the time, but when set, the amethysts make it look more purple. But the round looks purple on its own almost all the time.

I ended up using the round to make a 5-stone ring. It has 2 grey violets, 1 grey blue, and 2 violet greys.

Here it is with a natural pink sapphire band, a teal moissanite solitaire, and a lab blue aquamarine band. Someday I would like to get a teal moissanite band — that would be so cool next to the violets.

Oh wow! So unique and gorgeous! I had no idea that diamonds came in these shades. Thanks so much for sharing.

My birthstone is Amethyst, and just received this yesterday!

I bought the Amethyst from Finewater Gems a year or two ago. It's about 8mm in diameter, and throws off some cool purple and red in sunlight!

Pendant setting is by the always awesome David Klass in 14K white gold. Glamour shot photos from him. I'm all about bezels, but the claw prongs make me weak in the knees! ;-)

It's cloudy and super cold today, but I'll try to get sunshine photos later.

Beautiful pendant! I love the color and cut of your gem. Happy birthday!!!

Oh boy! Oh boy! I have one! It arrived just last night! I bought it preloved from @Dr_Diesel .

A 2.44 ct Uruguayan amethyst cushion cut by Jeff Davies. I admittedly know very little about colored stones, but this one caught my eye when I scrolled through the listing and I kept coming back to it. It is so pretty in person! (My pic doesn't do it justice at all!)

It will eventually be a pendant, probably.

I knew that was a Davies cut! I love how he facets the girdle, especially on his cushions. Simply stunning!! But I would expect nothing less from @Dr_Diesel. Uruguayan material is my absolute fave.

Girrrl, you outdid yourself with this bold beauty! P.S. I have a Richard Homer chrysoberyl... his concave cut really brightens the gem.
