TBH I trawled through your threads yesterday looking for that garnet (Gene's changed his website) and found it! (I think) - gorgeous and stunning.

However...ALL your pics are missing from the threads after about the second page (PS2 changeover?)

Pleeeese put the pics in the ruby thread again - please, please, please?

Starzin - I deleted all of my photos which is why you can't find them probably! There was a thread that made me think that having my "stuff" in the public domain probably wasn't wise so I deleted nearly everything. I'm glad you found the garnet thread. I had it set in a white sapphire setting (just because I wanted something different). Did you find that one?

So sad about the loss of pics

you have such amazing examples and there are so few ruby rings (seemingly) and for good reason given the treatments. I leave it to you.

Sorry that was a bit abrupt - had to run.

I think I remember the thread and I fully appreciate you deciding to err on the side of caution. It's sometimes a fine line to be able to share comfortably and I for one am pleased that you and so many others are able to do so, so thank you.

Love the green paraiba and hope your getting lots of wear out of it! And there's nothing wrong with the nail polish except that it might go better with your pink/red rings

LD, I apologize for the threadjack, but I have been looking for a setting for a big pear, and this could be IT!!!! Thanks for the link TL.

I love the clean lines of that pear setting too. I've been looking around to see what I can find for my new mint garnet pear but even the halos did not appeal to me. Add to the fact that I already have a halo pear ring, I don't want to end up with two identical rings, never mind that one is red and one is green. Just imagining a green garnet set in that setting with rose gold....

that's how I plan on setting my mint garnet- in rose gold with a diamond halo. I may even use pink diamonds in my halo. Here are a couple of green diamonds about the same color as my mint set in rose gold with pink diamonds- yum!!
