I barely had time to scan both pages, and by the time I did anything I wanted was gone! I desperately wanted that amethyst. So pretty! Hope whomever got it shows off.

Haha, yeah, I really need to stop hoarding his blue spinels. I just can't help it, it's a weakness.
I wanted the pinkish red one too because it looks like it would match my rubellite from him oddly enough, but I didn't get it.

soooo...I *think I got the blue spinel. Barry asked if I wanted it after telling me I missed out on the red...but he didn't say the words "you got it". So maybe he's just being mean to me, lol. I don't know...

I loved the Vietnamese spinel - the dispersion was so obvious in that one! I'm sure that one will flash a gazillion different colors and I want to whoever purchased it to bring it back, show a million pics and show us it set...

heyhey, that would be me ) I'm keen to spend some money recently (guess you can tell from my other thread)
But it will take a while for the stone to arrive in HongKong, then got further forwarded to me.

Its just that who can resist the siren song of Barry's gems? I keep them, I love them, and then I use the old adage of "if you love something, let it free..."

I tried for the blue spinel and *almost got it. I got the payment confirmation followed later by Barry's apology that I wasn't first. I don't normally participate in his drops because I'm not home from work yet. Yesterday I arranged to go in early so I could be home on time. I was very, very fast and thought I had a good chance. I guess all is fair in gems and warfare though right? I did win one back in January, but when I got it at home, it was much darker than I had hoped so I set it free again. How did everyone know the exact time and date? I thought I was on Barry's mailing list but I didn't have any notice.

This time I wouldnt have been a buyer but still.

Also, Barry helped me find a perfect red red garnet and of the two he sent, the one I declined was that 10mm stone. Trust me, if the one he sent me...a 8.5 mm, wasn't perfect...I would have kept that 10mm. It is ridiculously nice. Just a tiny tinge of orange...otherwise I would have bought it. I wanted a garnet with no orange or purple.

Buy that stone!!!! It's flashy and clean and huge! I keep wanting to buy it but I sooo do not need another red Barry garnet!

I think that the stones typically snapped up in a heartbeat are his spinels more so than the garnets. Sometimes they'll be a free for all if he has a large size anthill chrome garnet, but otherwise, not so much.

Did you get his newsletter earlier this week? In there he talks about when he'll load new stones and what he will have. I guess the winners go right to the spinels, snap and dash. You have to be ready and have already signed in, and have your cc number ready to copy in in its entirety, cause in the space of time it takes you to type out those 12 numbers, someone else has beat you to it...

I emailed Barry asking what the heck? And he says...check your Spam folder. Sure enough, there was the newsletter! I will be ready next time for sure!
