I hate to ask a stupid question, but should I start a FOR SALE thread for these items, or is this thread enough? I've never sold anything on PS before. Thanks! :geek2:
 
I haven’t sold, but it seems like some people do a separate sale post after a feeler and some don’t. I guess as long as things sell and you update what is available, it probably doesn’t matter.

Crazy question- Could the small pendants be welded onto the chain links to prevent them from flipping and perhaps be more of what you envisioned?

Yes, we tried that on the last iteration of the project. They were soldered on to the links of the chain, but the chain still rolled. We picked the wrong chain... something that lays flat would've been the best choice. It was an expensive mistake.
 
I hope you at least get some use out of that killer chain. I would shorten it. I have a thick sterling silver rollo chain. I wear it just as a neck chain at 18 inches with no pendant. It is a great casual look with a sweater in the Fall and a loose scarf. The deep gold would be stunning.

Yes, go to LT and start a thread. Apart from anything else, the audience there is larger and everyone who goes there is either looking to buy, or thinking about it.

Be specific and include all details - dimensions, color, clarity, ctw, and price. Whether the stones are in a setting, or if you're willing to sell them unmounted.

I think you'll get a lot of interest, tho be prepared for crazy low bids as well. And be realistic; you'll take a hit on this, but I aim for a loss of no more than 30%, tho it's often more.

@SandyinAnaheim - I may be interested in the two J vs1 stones. I am looking for two stones to bezel and use as charms for my small pave diamond hoops. Do you have a photo of both side by side? Do you think I could have a small ring mounted on each setting to hang as a charm from my hoops? Thank you. Q

That's a brilliant idea! I think they would look great on hoops. They had small rings attached when they attached it to the necklace, so I'm certain it could be done again. I hope these images help.
