In late February I purchased this beautiful ring as an upgrade to my original ER. Since then I've had some major life changes (an awesome new job), and I don't/can't wear it much anymore. I considered moving the diamond to a more practical setting, but don't have the heart to dismantle this amazing piece of jewelry & fine craftsmanship.
The setting is all platinum excluding the gold prongs on the center stone; it's hefty. The halo is .19ct (1.3mm) E-F white diamonds, and the center is a bright & lively 1.2 carat VVS2 Y-Z lemony yellow diamond in an ex/ex radiant cut, graded by GIA. It just sparkles and glitters in all light. Even in direct sunlight it stays bright. And it has some really cool reddish tenebrescence that lasts about 3 seconds after exposure to UV, and I am convinced it shifts a little more golden yellow for a few hours after exposure. It lights up blue-green under the UV lamp. I absolutely love the center stone.
It is really a beautiful ring, and I wish I had somewhere to wear it. But I've been in a very strong "if you can't appreciate it, let someone else" mood. I'm in no pressure to sell, but would love it if it could bring joy to another PSer. I originally purchased it in Feb from DBL for just under $3000, and I'd like to get as much from selling it.
