It''s funny how people CAN ''afford'' what they WANT to do ... but all of a sudden CAN''T ''afford'' less fun things.

I''m not saying your wedding isn''t gonna be fun ... but it''s more formal & obligatory than a hijinks filled week in Vegas, c''mon!

Ya really learn a lot about everyone around you during wedding planning. FI''s & DH''s aren''t exempt. Not much you can do but sympathize ...

I agree with Deco. We also sent STDs a year in advance. All of DH''s family/friends had to travel. People who really want to be there were. Many did not attend. We even DELAYED our honeymoon a week to go to his friend''s wedding the weekend after ours. I understand them not coming to our''s but we never got a card congratulating us or even a thank you card for their gift.

This is just how people are. I am glad they are able to come but I am sure there will be other surprised no shows (or at least there were for us). Just have to not take it personally.
