Well... I think we've finally nailed down the design!! After searching hundreds of photos (and PS posts), and uploading ideas to my wonderful designer at Green Lakes Jewelry in Seattle, I think we finally pieced together the ring of my dreams! Special thanks to PS's own Anne_h for sharing her beautiful Victor Canera split-shank, halo beauty... it was my ultimate inspiration.

I wanted to add a daisy to the ring because it has great sentimental value to me. My mom had daisies embroidered on her wedding dress because they were her favorite flower (and now are mine and also my daughter's...) and the very first bouquet of flowers that my husband ever gave me (when we were dating) were white daisies. They are unpretentious and "happy" flowers, and now with this ring he gets to give me a daisy that will never die.

My center stone is an August Vintage Cushion, 1.87 ct, J color, SI1. Here is the link if you wish to see it:

Here are the final CAD images. The first 2 show the "new" daisy design, and we've decided to put diamonds on the posts next to the daisy. The bottom pictures show the rest of the ring design, but ignore the daisy. We decided that one looked to "cartoonish" for this style of ring.
I hope you love it as much as I do! The next phase is wax, and we will be heading to Seattle in the next couple of weeks to check it out. I am SO excited!!

Thank you all for your inspiration and information. I have learned SO much!!

It certainly looks like a winner!

It looks great! I love the daisy on the side and the meaning behind putting it, it gives a unique and personal twist to your ring. :appl:

it looks stunning! Cant wait to see the real thing..

by the way, i cant see in the CAD, do you have a little diamond in the centre of the daisy? It would be nice if you don't... another idea to make it look more like a daisy, is to put a tiny yellow diamond in the centre, or failing that a yellow sapphire etc... just an idea!

xoxo sushi!

Love the new daisy design!!!! And I also love Sushi's idea of a tiny yellow diamond in the daisy center!!

I love it!!!

I love your design & the daisy is such a wonderful touch. You must be very excited, what a fantasic upgrade!

I can't wait to see the real thing! Beautiful design.

It's beautiful!!! Can't wait to see the finished ring!!

I love the design, but especially the daisy. Ditto the yellow diamond in the center of the daisy.

I think its a beautiful design. I especially love the daisy. I am very excited to see the finished ring!

HI:

Isn't that a dreamboat! Love the daisy--so whimsical!

cheers--Sharon

Gorgeous! Love the daisy, it's very well done! :)

I love the daisy detail! What's the next step beyond one-of-a-kind? Whatever it is, your ring is there!

Lovely, really really lovely. I love all the unique details and especially that sunburst/daisy. It's going to be a stunning ring. I prefer no diamonds on the posts, for what that's worth because it lets the daisy be the star. With the diamonds on the posts you get less focus on that detail because the pave competes with it.

good call. could you possibly make them curved or softer as well to allow the daisy to shine through?

I would ask them if they could do a brushed/matte finish on those petals. That would make them stand out more.

It looks good, love the daisy!

Thanks everyone!
I am SUPER excited!!
I have asked my designer about some of the suggestions you all made, and we'll see what she says. And there IS a diamond in the center of the daisy, which I love.

My husband likes the diamonds on the posts, so we are keeping those. But I'm asking about possibly curving the posts slightly, and possibly brushing the petals of the daisy. The daisy is SUPER tiny, so I don't know how much difference it will make. And because my halo is sloped, and the daisy is tucked under it, it is going to be more of a peek-a-boo surprise, rather than a main focal point. My AVC is definitely going to be the show stopper! :appl:

Can't wait to see it in wax... I'll keep you all posted!
Thanks for the kind words and the suggestions. I appreciate you all!
