Final details meeting!

My final details meeting at my venue is tomorrow, and I''m really looking forward to it. We go over everything one last time to make sure things haven''t changed too much since my initial meeting with them about 8 months ago. Which not too much has, but now I have a zillion questions.

However.

I went on their website today, and it appears that the options they had offered a year ago when I first booked the place have changed. Not too significantly, but they aren''t the same. In fact, many things you had to pay for a la carte are now included in the packages, and the price of the packages has remained the same. So I''m really anxious to see if they are going to honor what is now on the website, or if what they originally gave to me is what I am supposed to stick with. How crappy would that be???? On the flip side, I''m going to be so pumped if things I originally was going to need to pay for are now going to be included!!!!!!

No real point here, just wanted to share.

oh girls, it was the best meeting and put my mind at ease on so much.

they are in fact including many of the things that used to be their "enhancements". the package i picked came with 2 "enhancements" and then i earned a 3rd due to a referral. these things include underlighting on tables, butler service, mirrors/candles on tables (for people not bringing centerpieces), and things like that. when i first was looking, you had to use your enhancements on things like favor placement, setting out placecards, things like that. but now they are in the package!! she also threw in a few things that were other enhancements, but didn't count them as such, just gave them to me complimentary!!!!! i got at least $500 in freebies, plus a big discount when we booked the room. i feel awesome.

so it looks like we have the timeline, and figured out final choices on meals. it was funny because i really wanted to have passed hors', but FI didn't and said it was "too classy" for him. haha. he was very uncomfortable about it, so i finally nixed it. instead, i let him pick our final enhancement. and what did he decide on? mixed nuts at the bar. very typical of him.

i did get him to spring on a "fruit tree" to go along with our fruit display. they have the most AMAZING looking fruit, cheese, and veggie trays that are super unique and special. it cost extra for them to make a tree to go with the fruit, but given that we have a "apple TREE" themed wedding, he let me have it.
