So many nice responses -- PS'ers are such a lovely group of people. Thank you, canyongirl, Decogirl, oranges, hearts-arrows girl, MonkeysInk, sweetpea&babycorn, Sarahbear621, tigian, oddoneout, legra, Laila619, tyty333, gemgirl, Winks Elf, SanDiegoLady, vespergirl, kittybean, and gecko! It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who thinks the band is a great match!

Diamond*Dana -- thanks, and I have to say, I just love your three-stone; there's just something about it that catches my eye every time I see a photo of it!

Catmom -- So true. I searched forever (well, a year!) and the longer I looked, the more frustrated I got. And that made me susceptible to the dreaded DSS! I kept thinking, well, maybe I should get a different setting, or maybe I should upgrade my diamond's carat weight, blah, blah, blah! But once I found a band that works, my set felt "complete" and DSS went away. Now when the urge to upgrade strikes, I think -- oh, wait, I'll have to find a new band, too! We'll see how long the spell lasts.

bean -- If you've been eyeing it for as long as I have (over six months) don't wait too much longer. I bought mine right before gold shot up in price again. Who knows how long this ring will be available at this price? Plus, it was kind of fun to get the little blue Tiffany box in the mail! And here I thought I was impervious to the siren song of the Tiffany marketing people!

mowtownmama -- I think the rose gold version of this is so pretty. What do you wear it with? Do you have a thread on it?

Thanks again, everyone!

They are perfect together! Enjoy :appl:

Hey Portree!! its been about a month since you had this ring... or has it been longer? how is the finish of the platinum looking? I'm still seriously considering this ring, as the joint on my pinky is really bothersome when I have a ring that has too much height on my ring finger. Also do you know of the depth/height of ring? I've liked e-weddingbands.com comfort fit band, and I'm not sure if this is similar height or depth of it.. they state about 1.5mm. I think about getting this band as its not plain but simple enough that I don't think it would bother my pinky joint, of course I hate going into the actual store, only been there once, and really don't care to go back but I don't mind ordering online. Sorry I'm all over the place like usual..lol

Hi, D&T -- don't worry, it took me forever to find a band that I liked and I was all over the place, too!

I got this ring in September, so I've had it 6 weeks or so. It is a very tiny ring -- 2 mm wide (but appears narrower because of the "banding" effect of the YG with the platinum in the middle). It's close to 1.5 mm high, but not more than that. But again the height is misleading because the platinum center sits up higher than the YG edges -- does that make sense?

I've tried e-wedding bands, too, and the heavy comfort fit (2 mm high) was too thick for my finger and too thick to match the profile of my halo. I've also tried an e-wedding bands milgrain band (3 mm wide but less than 2 mm high) and the height of the milgrain band was pretty close to the height on the Tiffany band. But the e-wedding bands milgrain band was too wide at 3 mm. So I sent both of those back -- see, all over the place :twirl:

I, too, have trouble with rings that are too thick bothering the joint on my pinky finger. This Tiffany ring is buttery soft and it does not bother the joint on my pinky finger even if it slides around a bit when my fingers are cold. So I am completely happy with it. I also like how it is a "plain" band, but not completely plain.

The platinum is holding up just fine. Of course, it's getting a patina, but so is the YG, so I just use the polishing cloth and polishing creme from Gemcare on the WB when I clean my halo (which is 18 kt. WG). Typically the difference in colors of the metals would bug me, but this WB is so tiny that I can't see any difference in color IRL.

I am concerned that the underside of my halo will "chew" the platinum on the band eventually, so I make sure I don't wear my rings to bed to protect the WB. I sometimes wear my plain 2 mm wide WG pipe cut band as a spacer between my halo and my WB, which works great, especially on days my fingers are smaller due to the cold weather.

It was so easy to order this ring online. Tiffany's periodically offers free shipping, and it comes with the box and the Tiffany's ribbon, so it's not like you gain anything by going to the store! I see the price is still the same even though gold's up from when I bought it.

Order it :Up_to_something: :naughty: you can always return it!!!

awww Thank you Sweetie for taking the time to help a fellow PSer. I love the ring as you already know from my post way long ago, at least I'm still thinking hard about it, its just perfect for your halo, and sounds yummy delicious!!! :lickout: I'm....caving....in...slowly :naughty: but I need to first make sure it's going to match my new e-ring :errrr: - yeah, I'm still undecided, I'm all over the place there too, plus the change of shape is throwing me for a loop

Thank you again! you're a doll! :wavey:
