Finally I found an OEC

Hi Everyone,

I have been looking for an OEC on and off since last year. I kept changing my mind. I decided to ask psers for help and again my mind keep changing. Nothing seems to be the right one until I saw one and was hooked. @missy helped me in this journey and I can’t thank her enough.

I bought this diamond from Anup Jogani. When I contacted him on IG, I showed him @missy Bubbalah and said if it doesn’t look like this, then I don’t want it. He said an OEC is one of a kind so you can’t find another Bubbalah but something similar to it you may find. He knows from looking at Bubbalah that I’m looking for the flowery facets.

A month later I think he said he found one and he want me to come by his studio to see it. I’m immune compromised so I asked for a video instead which he indulged.

I went to see him a month after he sent me the videos and as soon as I saw it in person, I fell hook, line and sinker.

Stats for the OEC is 4.02 ct, L color, VS2 clarity and ring size is between 7-7.5.

I was looking for a 3 carat but then hubby said okay to the 4 carat. I said okay this is my last purchase then to which he replied well for awhile anyway. He can be so sweet and supportive. My heart is full

I know I was forgetting something. So the setting was introduced to me only as a stone holder. The setting is from the Victorian era. It has 15 old mine cushions in an open collet setting. I fell in love with it and decided to go for it as is. It’s in yellow gold but the halo is topped in silver. The purpose is for it to grow a patina which will look great as a backdrop for the diamonds.

So both the OEC and the setting are old antique. They did a great job putting the diamond into that bezel. The attention to details is amazing.
