Hi Pricescopers,

After fiddling around with my camera and Mac laptop (which I am totally unaccustomed to), I was finally able to crop the pictures and upload them after many tries.

My FI proposed late April and I haven''t been forthcoming with the pics until now. We got the diamond appraised and found out this stone was HAND cut in the 1880s and it''s truly an amazing diamond.

The setting was inspired by Neatfreak''s bezel and the lovely Leon prongs.

Don''t know how to upload more than 1 pic at a time so bear with me...
I do believe, that this is a punishable offence somewhere in the PS rulebook!!!

Whack Whack with a wet noodle!

Your ring is beautiful. I love the simplicity. Classic design. How amazing to find out the history of the stone.

ROFL. I''m with LS in this one though.

Gorgeous, congrats!

Stunning ring! Can we please see hand shots? Also, what size ring do you wear? Thanks

Thank you everyone for the compliments!!

I will take pics of the stone directly in the sun and post soon.

To answer your question, we found out it was hand cut when we had it appraised, she could tell that it wasn''t cut by a laser and cut by hand. Also, the plot is unlike any other - there are 2 small facets on opposite sides of the stone to balance it out.

My ring size is 4.25 and yes, it''s GIA certified. I do have a question about GIA certification - when I had it appraised, it was appraised to be a high E, almost D color and VS1 clarity. The GIA cert states E, VS2. How off can GIA/AGS/EGL be?

Thanks again!

Gorgeous!! What a story behind the diamond as well!

Very very cool stone. And I kind of like the REALLY BIG photos. They let us see the facet pattern of your stone. Just LOVELY!!

Enjoy it!!
