Finally My Brian Gavin Signature Halo Earrings (pictures heavy!)

I finally got my earrings!

I chose this halo style because it’s unique and it’s not something I can find everywhere. Also I used platinum instead of 18K, but it is a little bit heavy. As long as I pushed the back tighter it’s fine.

For the backs I have them modified it and used the la pousette backs. I do wish the back is a little more thicker.I will never use the regular backs again, this is very secure and better than screw back.

Their workmanship is definitely superb.

I adore platinum. Is the heaviness an issue? You mentioned white gold, do you think if you did them again you would have gone the gold route for the heaviness or is it really not that much of a deal?

If you are not allergic to white gold then I say go for white gold and not platinum. It’s is kinda heavy. I have thick ear lope to pull this off. if I push the back in then it stay tight. If I only lock it where the interlock is at, it does not look right. I do have to check on the back once in a while to tighten it to make sure it stay put tho.

For my ears I am allergic to white gold, sometimes even yellow gold, it depends on how much nickles they put in it. My mikimoto 18k gold back and post turn black on me and some white gold will turn color on me too. At time it make my ears swollen.

So I don’t know if I have any choice to use other metal. I have to sacrifice either way.

I didn’t see it as jacket in their web site, but I never thought to ask.which is a great idea! You can try and ask if they would do that.

I’m also interested in these safely backs, I do worry about losing earrings due to the design of the backs, so I’m constantly checking the backs on my studs to ensure they haven’t slipped.
