Congrats Wedding Crasher!!!! It is a BEAUTY!

She''s going to love it! Don''t make her wait too long!

Yummy!! You didn''t need our help on that rock. It''s perfect. You certainly did your homework.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your setting (and the stone isn''t exactly shabby either!

)!!! What is the width of the shank? I think this is my FAVORITE x-prong setting. If I ever change my setting it''s going to be to a replica of yours!

Oh, that is gorgeous! Good job!

I''d like to know that too weddingcrasher, thanks.

Scintillating...

Wow...thank you all so much for the comments (and complements - especially researcher - I''m flattered!). This forum is awesome. I couldn''t have made this wonderful ring without all of your wisdom and help. Thanks so much PS!!!

researcher and Scintillating - as for the shank size...I''m not sure how big it is (it seems small though, especially on a size 4!). I will have to get back to you on that after the weekend.

It is GORGEOUS! I love the elegance and fluidity of the setting and the stone is fabulous!!! YUM!!

Weddingcrasher, the ring is gorgeous. You must have the patience of a saint if you are going to keep it hidden for two months or so. I think your girlfriend should have it as soon as possible, it''s too beautiful to be hidden away!

What is the width of the shank?

The shank is ~2mm at the bottom and ~3mm at the top. The ring is a size 4 too.

Ok, here come more pics!

Thank you so much! I know this isn''t what the ladies want to hear but I won''t be proposing for a while (I''m talking months here). I mostly wanted to get the ring so I knew I would have it when I needed it. I was also assuming diamond prices would go up so I thought I might save a few bucks in the process. I had the extra money at the time so I figured why not go for it now? I just hope I can hold out. The anticipation is killing me now, especially with posts like yours and Jelly''s

Since you don''t say what your name is, WeddingCrasher, I''m sitting here with my fingers crossed hoping you''re MY boyfriend! I sent him here when he said he was looking for ideas! Although I must add that he can''t spell. In any case, she''s a lucky girl. You have beautiful taste (sure that''s not you, honey?

). Congrats! Can I tell my boyfriend to go to you?

AmberWaves, your post gave me a good laugh
3.gif
...until I thought that maybe you are MY girlfriend and you found me! Uh-oh!
23.gif
Haha, jk (I hope - but ya never know
2.gif
). That would be pretty weird. I wonder if that happens much on this forum. A couple is both on it without each other knowing and they accidentally bump into each other.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words

. Good luck to you (and your man) on finding the perfect ring!

please hold while I get a napkin to clean up the puddle of drool I have just created looking at this ring.....
