Beautiful ring and lovely box!

Neither had we. Several months ago, I had her look on the PC and we even visited a few B & M stores. She had all these rules about settings that she just had to have -- it had to be a halo. The diamond had to be a cushion. The shank had to be thin, but not too thin. No cathedral settings. MUST have pave.

Then we saw this one....

As you can see, it ''ain''t'' nothing like I just described! Just goes to show you that sometimes you have to be open to all opportunities.

Congratulations on your engagement and a beautiful ring! The setting is lovely - I''ve not seen one like that before. It''s so pretty!

I will try to get her to slow down enough to take more pictures soon! We have gotten her home ready to sale because she is moving to Houston next month. (I move in October.)

You know, I must agree with you. When I went to pick it up, I asked the jeweler if he had set the wrong stone! I can''t do a good job of explaining it, but it just faces up a lot larger than it is. Her relatives thought it was 2 carat. Some of my ''diamond officianado'' friends thought it was 1.5 - 1.75 carat. I have a cousin who is a master jeweler, who guessed 1.4 carat, which of course is the closest anyone got.

Thanks for the information about whiteflash. When we visit Houston, we always stay at a hotel right by the Galleria on Sage. Sage and Richmond intersect, so I am sure I will be able to find it.

CONGRATULATIONS. I can''t believe the center stone is only 1.25! It looks enormous!! What a beautiful ring. Well you are in luck since you are moving to Houston: Whiteflash.com is located in Houston on Richmond Avenue. And there is no one that I would speak higher of. Their work is beyond ''wow''.

Vesper:

You should see it in person. I know I am not sophisticated enough to tell the difference between a D and an E color, but I am glad I got this D! It is absolutely amazing. I think it was the right decision considering the side stones are F - G. If I had gone with a color too close to them, it might have gotten ''lost'' and there might have been a case of diamond shrinkage. The side diamonds are ''set to sparkle'' according to the jeweler that set them, so the center stone had to be ''off the hook'' as it were!

thats a gorgeous stone! congrats

how about a profile shot?
Warning:

I am what you would call not-photographically-inclined not am I diamondologically-inclined. Does profile mean from the side like your avatar?

Thanks! Her hands aren''t the only things that are beautiful!

Yeah! Finally! I have been waiting for the "Lea" lady to show us her stuff. I loved when you posted the box you had made especially for the occasion. It is such a fabulous keepsake and shows the depth of your thoughfullness. Lucky Lea!
