first diamond & first post of a newly engaged girl

hello everyone!

i came across this site last year, and have been lurking around from time to time, and now (finally) have something to share!
i'm newly engaged as of yesterday, and thanks to the tips i ran across on this site, we were able to create a beautiful ring (and not get ripped off!)

the stone is a light yellow cushion cut brilliant, 3.01ct, VS2, and after trying it on, i realized the fit was a little too big for peace of mind, so it's currently out of my hands as of today being sized down to a 4.5 instead of 4.75 (which you see is a bit loose).

thanks for letting me share my excitment and love for my ring with you all! i took this picture with my iphone, so doesn't really do the ring justice... but it's the only camera that i had at the moment.

Congratulations! What a beautiful ring and VR's right, that's one heck of a "starter" diamond!!
Please post more pics and, don't worry, your iphone is working fine. I've been taking all of my pics with my cell (non-iphone) phone .
