How difficult would it be for a jeweler to fix a four-prong setting where the prongs are slightly uneven? This picture illustrates, albeit in an exaggerated manner, the problem with the setting. Is this difficult to fix?

ETA: Sorry about the misshapen prongs. The prongs are actually the same size. The spacing is the issue.

It might be easy, it might be a problem. Complain to the setter or the store that sold it to you and they should be happy (or at least willing) to fix it for free.

I''ve had this exact problem in the past and did what was suggested. I went back to the store, complained about the spacing, and they apologized and fixed it for free.

Do you have a picture of the ring in question? If it''s a basic 4 prong head and there are no setting issues, it would be quite easy. In fact the thing that would take the longest is examining the diamond and setting for any unpleasant surprises.
The real question in my mind would be why does it look like that to begin with?
