And your new ring definitely needs its own thread ASAP! From that one picture I can tell it's going to be my new favorite PS ring. I even went and checked the Leon web site to see if it was featured there and I found one similar to yours but I'm not sure if it is. Is it? :))
Cachette :))

I just noticed that Leon posted the first ring he made for me - R4338. I wanted a more delicate ring with the split going into a single shank. My current ring is the remade one I have no regrets asking him to remake it even though the "wrong" ring is worth more in metal and diamonds. I find my current ring much more delicate and more me.

Charmypoo, that is a super gorgeous men's ring. As far as not being able to resize it, well, then it's time for a new wedding anniversary ring. My DH is on his third "wedding" band. In the meantime, I love your gorgeous rings. Wear them in good health and wishing you many, many years of wedded bliss.

That's what I say .. if it doesn't fit, it is time for a new ring!

Love your e-ring and his band! My SO is a watch collector so I think a band like that would totally work for him. If I were to modify anything, I might make it wider and maybe put diamonds alternating in the center links.

Me too if I had the chance to make it over again The FI didn't want diamonds at all and I couldn't change his mind.

Such a cool ring!! I love the different finishes on it!

.......and your cushion is beauuuutiful!!!

My FI wanted a darker ring so I am hoping he will love it once the patina sets in

Both rings are beautiful. Charmypoo does your husband's ring solve the problem of a slipping ring that fit over a big knuckle? Your husband's knuckles don't look big. My fiance broke his & he needs a ring big enough to fit over it. Once it is on it slides up & down & annoys him. Also if the ring has stones on top they slip around to the back. I guess I'm wondering how it is put on & can you make it fit once it is over the knuckle?

Flygirl gave you a good suggestion. Unfortunately, there is nothing magical about this ring - there is no stretch to it. It is just a very comfortable ring as it is not rigid and bends with your finger.

Hi Charmy, Not sure if this is the appropriate place to ask (I might be threadjacking) but could you tell me a bit more about why you prefer the 1:1 ratio? Is it simply the outline and evenly proportioned/square shape that appeals or is it more of an optics issue and the lack of bowtie? (I've never quite understood if an elongated AVC can have the same caliber optics as a 1:1—I feel like you see fewer "long" ones like mine in GOG videos.)

When I bought my AVC, i focused on color and size/budget and didn't think about the ratio but now it's of major interest to me. Funny how these details can loom large once you really start staring at stones.

Also, I'm curious how you feel about the culet in your AVC. I've loved the look of the large culet from the first time I saw it but I remember that in an earlier post you said you originally didn't want one.

Thanks for having such inspirational pieces and good advice :-)

I think it is very much personal preference. I love symmetry and everything has to be symmetrical which is why the 1:1 works well for me. In my opinion, the optics are not the same but Jon would have adjusted for the variances in the different ratios. The first stone Jon cut for me was a 1.04 ratio and I turned it down. There is one AVC that I adore and to this date no other AVC has compared to it - http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/6703.. I wish I purchased it but I already had mine and I wanted a E/F/VS1 but now I don't think it matters so much.

I didn't like the culets but now I feel the AVCs need them. It is actually really lovely once it is set and you can't even really tell it is there.

Don't think too much - you already have your diamond and you can always upgrade later. I was really picky and didn't want to budge on my specs so in the end ... the price had to move. In the end, I really think I spent too much time obsessing over every little detail.

MAC, LORIKEN and any others I may have missed - Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am glad to have all our wedding rings done now. One less thing to do for the wedding although I am already itching for a band that sits flush with the e-ring.

Charmy, can you please let me know how wide the flexible band is?

Thanks!

Wow, it looks even better on. That is a great idea for a ring. Reminds me of a watch strap, very cool.

ETA: Didn't realize this was an old thred that was bumped :p.

It is 6mm. I didn't want it to be too wide as my fiancé has short fingers.

Charmypoo ----I LOVE this wedding band.
Does your hubby still like it?
What was the price range?...if you don't mind me asking.
$1,000 - $5,000
$5,000 - $10,000
I'm hoping it's not $10,000 - $15,000

And last question: Any other vendors you considered prior to Mr. Leon Mege?

Thank you!

That is really, really cool! Also, your engagement ring is to die for!
