Hi ladies

Did you use/are you using real or fake flower girl petals? If fake, any concerns? Were you happy w/them? Can anyone recommend somewhere inexpensive to get them? I was thinking of using them for the flower girl and also to border the walk way so I guess I would need a lot.
How many did you buy/use? If you used real, did you just get them from your florist or is there an online vendor?

Thanks!

i used freeze dried petals from petalgarden.com for our petal toss exit. LOVED them. they were large and beautiful. and looked completely real for pictures. i highly recommend using them. check on their site for the recommended amount needed.

Jcrow, never even heard of freeze dried petals! Thanks for the tip!

sure thing!
what's great is that you don't have to baby them (keep them cool and such) like fresh petals. the freeze dried ones arrived maybe 2 weeks before the wedding and i stuck them in their box and that's it. didn't worry about them. oh, and you can get them scented just like the real thing.

eta: and they don't stain your dress, walkway or whatever like fresh petals do.

Anyone else order online? Any suggested sites?

Thanks!

Hey girls! I just checked out JCrows Website and I LOVE them!!
I''m looking for lightweight decorations to pack in my suitcase since we''re getting married in Italy. My problem is that I live in Canada and this company doesn''t ship outside the US.

Anyone know another source that ships to your Canada?

Also, Jcrow - how much did you order, and what colour did you use?

FALSE ALARM!! They DO ship to Canadia! teee hee. My mistake. They don''t send free samples to Canada. Whateves!

Horrayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

But I still would love your info Jcrow! :)

I bought 4,000 silk petals on Ebay for something like $30. They look beautiful. Since my reception venue doesn't allow real ones, I thought getting these would be great as I could maximize my centerpieces by sprinkling them around. Plus, I figured I could use them at the Park where we're having the ceremony.

Turns out, I'm hesitant to sprinkle them on my reception tables now since they of course don't FEEL real plus I'll have to make sure they are all swept up before we leave at the end of the night. AND the Park Manager prefers real ones to maintain the beauty of the park (which I completely understand). So, I can buy an aisle runner and glue a thousand of these suckers to it so they don't blow around I guess

Bleh. Didn't think this one out too well

I'd recommend thinking about these logistics beforehand and if you find you'd like 4,000 mauve silk petals, let me know

OMG so happy you just made me laugh!!

That is sad (although you made it humorous!). I should look into it. I love the IDEA of it though...!
