For those who are allergic to WG...

I've developed a nickel allergy. I had worn my engagement ring constantly for over 2 years when it developed - oddly enough, I first noticed it with my white gold earrings too.

I at the same time developed allergies to a lot of other substances, including lipstick, one of my facial lotions, and a few foods. I got tested at the dermatologist and sure enough, a reaction to nickel.

I don't wear my engagement ring unless it's a special occasion until I can afford to reset it. Luckily my wedding band is palladium.

jsm, so strange that allergies can form out of the blue.

I wore the nickel for 7 hours and my skin was not even slightly pink so I am wondering if I have some sort of infection in my piercing and it has nothing to do with WG....

Tacori, did you just start wearing your hair a different way, or using any new hair products? I switched hairspray a few months ago and the backs of my ears were red and bumpy until I switched back. Maybe you got something on the post and into your ear?
