For those who got a semi-eternity band... did you regret it due to spinning?

I also forgot to mention that my fingers were not permanently bigger after my first pregnancy - I wore my size 5 rings until I was about 8 months along, and then I could wear them again within a week after giving birth. Now I''m halfway through my second pregnancy, and my rings still fit fine.

So, maybe you don''t have to worry about your fingers changing size with pregnancy, as long as you lose your baby weight.

I don''t have my wedding band yet but am in the process of looking as well... So I''m enjoying this thread! I have to say although I love eternity bands... I think 1/2 eternity bands looks very "sweet" on... There''s just something about them!

I have both and I love the way each looks. I put 2 little beads in one that was spinning though.

I would add that it does take a pretty drastic weight change for your rings to truly not fit, rather than being only slightly too loose or too tight. I lost around 30 lbs over the last year, and it wasn''t really until around that amount of weight loss that I''d say I ought to have resized my rings and they started actually falling off. Plus they were on the loose side to begin with.

While people are different of course, I definitely gain and lose weight all over (including fingers) rather than the sort of body type that only gains/loses in specific areas, so I''d say my finger size is more likely to be affected than with some people. I think losing that much weight changed my finger size by about 1 1/2 to 2 sizes, but you can usually still wear rings that are only slightly ill fitting, and a small weight fluctuation wouldn''t be likely to affect your ring size any more than being warm or cold does.

So unless you''re likely to lose a lot of weight in the near future an eternity ring shouldn''t be a huge problem. And baby weight is meant to be lost eventually right? Lol!

I hope this makes sense- I have something inbetween a full eternity and a half. it is more like 3/4''s with a comfort fit on the bottom. It think this helps because it is more comfortable, can be resized but doesn''t spin like a half eternity. Perhaps this option will work for you.

Goodluck!

Nope. I have a euroshank e-ring with a round 3/4 eternity and it really doesn''t spin much at all. I love the 3/4 eternity...having diamonds ding against every surface I palm or grip would really, really bother me.

Thanks for your great responses, everyone! Keep 'em coming.

I'm leaning towards a full eternity at the moment. I am not hard on my hands, generally, but then I think of all the times I could be banging the diamond... opening the doors to get into my condo complex (the handles are metal bars), etc. Of course, if I have the spin, even a 3/4 ring might be hitting the diamond part on the metal door bars anyway.

I just must have strange fingers because they do shrink and swell significantly throughout the day, so spinning will probably always be a problem. There are times during the day when my size 4 ring feels a bit snug such as in the morning, and then times (especially if I'm outdoors and it's cold) when my fingers really shrink up and my ring is spinning 'round and 'round.
