Have any of you used or will be using Skindinavia products, specifically the Finishing Spray? The Skindinavia line was featured on The Today Show about a month ago.

Product info can be found here.

It''s supposed to prevent colour loss, resist creasing, and set your makeup for a flawless look - in the sun and heat.

I''ve been reading some good reviews, but haven''t committed yet to trying it out, and am curious if anyone on PS has tried it out.

Haven''t tried it, but I''ve found that most cosmetic claims are more hype than reality. I''ve been doing a major make-up makeover on myself recently because I don''t think I''m going to be able to afford a MUA for the wedding. An excellent resource for me has been www.makeupalley.com. You have to register (free) but there are product reviews on almost every cosmetic known to man, rated by models, actors and make-up artists. They post their skin type (dry, oily, etc), age, hair and eye color, so you can see who is most like you when you read the reviews. One note: many of the posters are from the UK, and some of the products they love are not available in the U.S. Also pay attention to the dates on the reviews; some cosmetics have been discontinued. Obviously, the more recent reviews are the most valuable.

I have not tried it but think i may order the Skindimini Makeup Boosters Kit as it comes with the moisturizer and finsihing spray - this way i can try them both now and see if they work. I definitly want to find makeup that will last ALL DAY LONG. many people told me to use a primer, maybe i''ll try that too ---

that is soooooooooo wierd. Monostat or your face?? do you think its safe? has anyone tried it?
i guess spending $5 or $7 to try it wouldn''t kill me, but ewwwwwwww - ??? LOL

I''ve tried it, it actually works great! I have it on my face right now at work. It''s not the monistat yeast cream. It''s an anti-chafing gel. It''s real purpose is to keep your inner thighs from chafing when you''re jogging or walking, but it has the same ingredient (dimethicone) that makes most of the facial primers work well. It is extremely light and feels almost powdery when you put it on.

I''ve also heard you can use milk of magnesia on your face as a mattifying agent...I tried that, and my liquid foundation didn''t like it. It might work well with powder foundations. You just use a very little bit, in a thin film. If your face turns white, you''ve used too much!
