Congrats to your boyfriend!! I have no idea what defense is, being the ignorant Frenchie that I am, but it seems like a pretty big accomplishment, so yay!

Well I can definitely say I know how you feel about the waiting and feeling insecure about it...I was in that situation and pushed a bit too hard. My bf of over 8 years at the time kept telling me our time would come but I could never wait...I wanted it now. I was so insecure about it and ALOT of my other friends who had been in shorter term relationships were getting engaged and planning weddings...I was just sick. Needless to say, my guy and I ended up breaking up. It was soooo hard but I just didn''t want to wait anymore. Felt like I had waiting entirely too long at 8+ years but really we were young and there was no hurry so looking back I needed a bit more patience but it is soooo hard when you want something from someone you love so much and it seems like there is always something more important ahead of you

Anyway, there was something bigger and better awaiting me and I kind of told myself and him that I could stand to wait for someone else a bit longer but I had waiting long enough for him lmao. So if you really and truly think he''s worth waiting for then I''d drop the subject and let him pick the right time and right ring. My ex wanted to pick the ring and didnt'' really want my input and I wanted to be in control and pick everything...I couldn''t trust he''d get what I wanted. I now see that''s its about true love and the meaning...not just the diamond (although I couldn''t stand to look at a diamond everyday that I didn''t love but sometimes we have to get past that right???)
Anyway my husband now got me exactly what I wanted at the time and we were engaged and married within 1.5 years of dating. Not bad huh??? lol I know my life is great but there is still that part of me that wonders why my patience was short and running out.
Trust in your guy...let him get done what he needs to get done and then he''ll focus on you. It''s hard I know but learn from what I went through...your time will definitely come and you don''t want to look back and think you blew it by driving him nuts!

I did see that, but it''s way over our budget. That''s why I was so excited to see this diamond from GOG.
But it turns out to have been a good thing I never had a chance to tell him about it! My dream ring came back! Well, a replica of the dream ring which is good enough for me. Now that I know it''s possible to have a version of my favorite art-deco flower ring, it''s going to be my first choice above an asscher. If he ever asks me for more ring input, I''ll still mention asscher cuts because he really wants a choice.

I''m very much of a whole package girl. The ring itself is as important as the diamond. Although, now that I think of it, the flowery ring I love has a very square setting which makes the diamond look squarish! Guess it''s a theme!
