So I know I shouldn''t have done this since I have purchased a diamond already but I found one on blue nile that sparked my interest. My diamond is a 1.39 carat round F VG/VG/VG SI2 with only twining wisps and feathers that cannot be seen to the unaided eye (GIA cert 2115023419). I like it because of its dimensions and it is very pretty and I felt it was a good price (7125). I originally wanted a 1.5 carat round Gish. I just found a 1.5 H EX/Ex/Ex that has only twining wisps (http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-search?track=bbt#diamonds_pid=LD01646706). I''m kind of wondering if I made the right choice especially since mine scores on the HCA a 2.6 and this new one a 0.9. I just want her to give her the best but now that I have only 3 days left I''m just getting nervous.

Should pursue this new stone or am I just over analyzing?

At SI2 level, I would really like to see the stone if it is eye-clean personally or for the stone to be from a trusted vendor.

I was under the belief that twinning wisps were usually eye clean, is that right? I know the stone I have already is eye clean and is SI2 with feathers and twinning wisps. Also, how do I find out the vendor?

Twining wisp may not necessary be eye-clean.

You can''t. BN is the vendor in this case. So if you ask if the stone is eye-clean, they will call the jeweler holding the stone and ask. What his standard is will vary...

Well I contacted BN and was told the stone was not eye clean with the twinning wisps being black and able to be seen within 4 inches. Thanks for the help. I think I should stop looking at other stones!
