Found more diamonds. Please let me know your thoughts!

Hi!

Well, after I lost the 2.503 I was looking at (it's okay..it had a 3.2 HCA score so maybe it's good I didn't get it) I am still on the search.

I found a few that are Hearts and Arrows.

1) AGS0 2.5x G SI1 $13,9xx per carat. CA: 34.2---PA: 40.9
2) AGS0 2.xx H VS2 $12,9xx per carat. CA: 34.9---PA: 40.9
3) AGS0 2.3x H S1 $12,1xx per carat. CA: 34.7---PA: 40.9

Are H VS2 diamonds are more expensive than G SI1 diamonds? (i.e.; does clarity weigh more on the diamond price than color?)

If I can get the H VS2 diamond for $13,9xx per carat is that a good price? It's below a 2.4 and above a 2.2. I don't want to reveal too much info because I don't want it snatched from me..haha.

What's keeping me from pulling the trigger is that I don't have that "it's good deal" feeling but I don't really know what is...because I found a 2.5x carat G SI for about $12,9xx per carat and a 2.3x carat H SI for about $12,1xx per carat.

Please educate me on what I am missing/what I need to make my decision....

Clarity does have a big affect on price. However, different suppliers price stones with the same specs differently and it also dpends on when the stones came into their stock, when the rough was purchased even. So some of these may be priced better than onthers. I prefer VS and wouldn't really consider SI1 especially in a large stone like that, but others look for them since SI1 really lowers the price. But even with VS2 you have to ask if it is eyeclean in a large stone. I'd probably also see if there were other GIA graded stones as you are also paying a premium for hearts and arrows.

I think you have your info reversed in your post, though, because you have the G SI1 price highest in the list.

I've noticed that US Pricescopers seem to put a higher emphasis on clarity, and choose a lower colour.

However, I have had great experiences with SI2 (eyeclean, from a trusted vendor) and F colour.
That seems to be my 'sweet spot'.
