IG I am totally with you. I also think that your response to the original question was right on. Pscope is a forum with many opinions and personalities, and I think that is what makes this place so great. I think your question was perfectly acceptable given the nature of the question, and I in no way found you to be the "morality police."
I too would have at least gone to the mall security/info booth and left my info. I''m sure it was sentimental to *somebody* even if the finder thought it looked junky.
Once I found 2 cellphones in the HOme Depot parking lot. On the same day. It was so strange. The sound of relief in owners'' voices when they called the phone looking for it was amazing. I informed them that I would leave them with HD''s service desk, and that''s what I did.
I hope someone would do the same for me one day.
