Hey all! Today on Oprah they announced they are giving away a free hardcover photobook from Snapfish! I thought it would be good for any of you out there that haven''t done anything with those wedding/engagement/bridal/baby pics! Or good for a trip you took! Anything! It''s just a great offer!

Enjoy!

kbarro, that is sweet of you to post that info.

thank you thank you!!!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much!! I''m going to use this for our engagement trip to NYC!!

Just finished my photobook. I was confused because up until the very end, it didn''t reflect the Oprah thing at all...but after all that work, I was just going to pay the 30.00 and leave it at that...but upon check out, I was surprised!!

$6.99 just bought my DH one of his Christmas gifts...a photobook of our one year anniversary trip to Vegas!!!

I watched Oprah yesterday and went to make my photobook as well. It was a little nerve wracking typing in the cc info thinking jeez, I haven''t seen the discount come up yet! But it automatically comes up. Mine came to $7.57, I''m assuming our tax rate is higher.

Thanks for this tip! My grandpa is in the hospital, so I''m going to make one for him to try and cheer him up.

Okay, I am going to give a few tips. Last night I stayed up super late trying to figure this stuff out since I am so not picture upload savvy. Up top click my account after logging into the free offer page and then it will show offers like the free album, click on that to get started. I finally went to bed w/out producing and album and accidentally bought prints before I figured out where the free album offer was because you can create an album of prints. hehe The reason I didn't get to finish the album is because some pics were Low Resolution warning so I have to figure out the replacements for those. I just wanted to give info to others who aren't familiar with the site (or a goof like me); happy book making friends.

Did the same thing... *hides under desk*

Now I have 20 free prints being shipped to my house, and I just need to upload about 15 more photos to finish my book. About the low-res warning, I got that on one of my favorite pictures. Should I not use it?

I just made one of wedding photos! Thank you so much for posting this!

Thank you thank you!

I just filled one with honeymoon pics for hubby''s christmas present.

I think I may try to do one each for my parents and the in-laws, with wedding photos that have heavily pictures of them.

Boo...my computer is too old. I cannot make one (can''t download the latest version of flash). They do offer free books periodically.

I made one for my mom yesterday of our trip to florida last spring. I''m going to give it to her for Christmas. I''m so excited. I''d tried to make a book on snapfish a few months ago and they wouldn''t work with macs yet. I''m so glad they got the mac version installed. I hope the quality of the book is as nice as the iphoto mac books you can buy from apple.

Firegoddess-the shipping on mine was $7 something too.

Thank you for the link!!! I made one for DH for our first year of marriage - I had a BLAST doing it though it took most of a day once I figured out how to do different layouts and backgrounds and stuff. I think I got about 60 photos crammed in there.

I agree though, it was super confusing to figure out how to get to the book thing...and in the evening when there were more users, the stupid thing took FOREVER to load. But I'd totally do it again for the full price - it was so much easier and I think it will look so much nicer than scrapbooking.

Glad you all enjoyed it!!! I am going to love mine!!! Can''t wait to get it in the mail! It did take a long time to do it b/c so many people were using the server at once, but hey, it was free!

Happy Holidays

My book came today, and they messed it up!!! I''m so bummed. I did compilation photo pages in the book, and there''s a duplicate of a picture in there. It was a gift for my hubby filled with honeymoon pictures and on this page instead of one picture of each of us, there''s two of me! Yuck!!

Mine has not arrived yet; I am going to call them and see if it is on its way. They sent an email out 2 weeks ago saying it was finished.

Musey, ditto to the oh no!!

I got mine the day before thanksgiving...we had an awful day that day and I ended up giving it to DH early - I couldn''t wait. It was absolutely perfect. I think I''m going to start doing one of these each year.

My book came; I had it made for my parents. It came out so beautiful w/wonderful family pictures; I almost cried, who knew that they could make such a beautiful book!?! Thank you Kbarro1 for telling us about it

that is so sweet of you

So those of you that received your books, did you get an email saying it was on the way? And did it come UPS or USPS?

I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting mine as it is a Christmas gift...and I am just dying to see it! I think this was a great idea, since now I would be really likely to make another one some time.

Thanks for posting about this!!

dang it! This is my best present ever (and I totally would have paid for it)...I spent so long putting it together, etc.

I sent an email to the customer service people, the status on mine has said "printed" for WEEKS now. I will be so totally bummed if it doesnt get here.

If anyone is bummed that they missed this offer, check out ArtsCow.com. I have NO idea how this company makes any money but I''m not questioning it. I''ve made a few 8x8 and 12x12 books on their site for free, I just paid shipping.

Miscka- I usually get an email when I order from them that the item has shipped. But, I also ordered the photo puzzle a couple of weeks ago when I placed my christmas card order from them. I got emails for the cards and prints I ordered but nothing for the puzzle. I was starting to worry b/c I wanted it to make it by Christmas b/c it''s a gift for my inlaws. Well, the puzzle showed up in the mail today (USPS). So, usually they do send a shipping email but maybe things are so swamped that somehow it got missed. hopefully your book is on it''s way. email snapfish though to be sure.
