I had already planned to go up to the Big Smoke to see a show (Sister Act) which was originally planned for 2022 and postponed twice due to Covid.

When I heard about this free exhibition, I thought I might as well make the most of the train ticket and add this to the day's itinerary.

It was very good, and it was the kind of exhibition where I would read the details of every item. :lol-2:

Just a few photos and no photo was allowed in the first room for whatever reason(s).

And I am adding a statement bracelet to my bling wish list in an Art Deco inspired design!!! :lol-2:

A double clip brooch and a bow brooch are already on my bling wish list, and I have found a good source of repros in silver and CZ.. :lol-2:

Apart from the air-con being non-existence (it is London/UK where air con is still not that common), it was a great exhibition. There was a queue to try outside the mini showroom for people to try on the engagement rings in the Tiffany setting, which I declined as I don't like that setting (sorry, I am the camp of bezellng everything if I can).

And no, the Tiffany Diamond was not available to be tried on!

All in all, a very good event, and it surprises me that it is free!!!

Q: with regard to statement bracelets, shall I opt for silver with CZ as they are very affortable; or save for just one in diamonds and WG?

The quality of repro in silver and CZ is very good - I bought an item from this eBay vendor to check out their craftmanship and was very impressed with it. It had to be returned (full refund received + shipping cost) as it did not match the design in the listing. Another order placed and they are making it in the same design as seen in the listing.

Decision, desicion!

Sadly, no! :lol-2:

No jewellery on offer in the gift shop, however, I was informed there is a Tiffany showroom only a couple of minutes' walk away (there is).

BTW, I looked at the beautiful Aqua pieces, and re-affirmed that colour is very personal, in that I prefer my Aquas light blue with a hint of green, and did not like the colours of the ones I saw.

Fussy, I know!

That necklace!!!!!

Thank you for the pics!!!

I am very fussy about yellows and that I love and don't mind having!

Sadly it is not for sale even if I win big money on the lottery, nevermind!

Thanks for sharing. The exhibit looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing your future purchases :)

Thank you so much for sharing! Is that yellow the necklace that Lady Gaga wore?

Yup, and it is the same one worn by Beyoncé in the latest Tiffany advert.

Thank you! So what I receive from them should look like the picture?

Based on my only purchase from them to date, no.

The pics in the listing showed the piece could be worn as either a brooch or a pendnat.

The piece I received only had a better brooch setting alone and could not be worn as a pendant.

I filed a return explaining why, and they were swift to agree for it to be returned and sent me money for the return shipping cost.

I provided the tracking number to them, and again they were swift to issue the full refund when the received the piece.

Based on the above, I had a good feeling about this vendor, and immediately e-mailed them and asked if I could have a brooch pendant if I were place another order, and they said yes.

The new brooch pendant is being made and I do not have it yet to confirm if it is exactly like the one in the listing photos.

Hope this helps.

Gorgeous pictures!

We are going to London next week & I am hoping we can squeeze this in. We have a back to back itinerary, including afternoon tea, a show at the theatre, London Eye, Tower of London & Crown Jewels, evening dinners, a rib tour down the Thames.....

Plus we have appointments at Cartier & Tiffany's to try on & buy my 15th anniversary bangle.

But if we can get over there, I will do my best!

I have to say, I’ve never really been a really big fan of Tiffany and co. But I really did enjoy the exhibit.
I completely fell in love with the Angela Cummings necklace and have been doing a deep dive into her past pieces. Hopefully I’ll be able to add something of hers to my collection preloved CDAF1C62-2743-4F86-B09C-FEDEBF12B835.jpeg

I also really loved the antique pieces from the French Crown Jewels. I have a soft spot for flowers and leaves depictions in jewellery

I also got to ‘try on’ the Tiffany yellow 984EADF1-D7EC-45E2-9469-07CA1135A9AF.jpeg
