OMG!!!

That is one of my inspiration dresses!! Pretty much the main one!!! Mostly for the fabric!! It''s the one Lindsay Lohan wore in that photoshoot with the superheroes. Oh my gosh I am so excited! I love it!!!

Mercoledi-I actually had it written in my email that Nina Ricci made it. One of my friends went through about 50 web pages when I first saw the dress, but I had misplaced it, so I'm glad you found it again. (I had to search for Nina Ricci in my email to find it afterwards). So far, I have looked at Saks, Barneys, Neiman Marcus, Holt Renfrew, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and Bergdorf Goodman's to see if I can find it for sale somewhere. When we found it right after I saw the Lindsay picture the first time, we found that it was by custom order only-and I'm glad that has changed, but I still can't find it to buy anywhere.

Oh gosh. He doesn't like the dress at all. Because it has "lines". I'm not sure what to say to that.

I'd have to talk my parents into buying it, because I know I couldn't afford it, and I don't think I could talk them into it. I don't have any idea what it would cost, but at the moment I'm pretty strapped for cash...

Do you have any ideas as to how much it'd cost?

(I'm wondering how many women are wanting it now that SJP wore it to the premiere. And I'm not even talking about for wedding dresses, just in general.)

As for freaking him out...who knows.

ETA: I wonder if I could buy yards and yards and yards of the fabric from them...

I think SKP is pretty, but her hands and feet look about 30 years older than the rest of her...which is kind of creepy. Just saying!! Not like I''m the hottest thing since sliced bread.

Nina Ricci has A.M.A.Z.I.N.G designs. I have a nice shirt from her that I wear in Vegas. You know a man is gay when he says "Giiiirrrrllll, that shirt is Fierce!!".

I love that dress. I like it better on Sarah...

The shirt was originally selling for $475 but I got it on "sale, sale "for a little over $150 and only because my girlfriend shops at that boutique a LOT in L.A. It was a steal...really...a steal. I am pretty sure I have pictures somewhere. But we bought the last 3 shirts....one in teal, one in black, and one in pink...guess who got the pink???

The shirt is a lot like the Mariah Carey "dress" (beacuse we all know she likes to wear a shirt as a dress) in her music videos. It is a long sleeve shirt with intricate beading around the collar and neck and cleavage. The beading is also along the edge of an angel type sleeve. Okay I totally suck at this...

You can clasp the shirt and have a mysterious cleavage, or you can unclasp it for the world to see your Miracle Bra at work.

I usually begin the evening with it clasped, and end the evening with it unclasped...but hey, it''s Vegas.

I need to find the Mariah picture.

Actually, now that I look at the dress more closely...you can get that made for a reasonable amount. The design is not unlike the "wings" used in bellydancing. I know that sounds tacky and wierd, but trust me, I was a tribal fusion belly dancer for awhile, and although I never got into the cabaret style or the "wings and things'', the style is very much the same and you can purchase the fabric yourself.

It''s an option worth exploring.

Yeah, I don''t think it would be hard to re-create, and then you could have the wrap/v-neck top you want ( at least according to your collage). I don''t know the name of the fabric, but one of the designers on project runway used a bunch of it in gold. Maybe some of the sewers will see this and ID it?

Though if FF doesn''t like the ''lines''

Hmmm...if a wedding were closer in the future, I think I would look into it more, but it's awfully hard to think about it when it's not all official and stuff. You know?

I bet that shirt is hot. And I have this one shirt...that can only be worn in Vegas. So I know what you mean...I still wanna see a picture of it.

ETA: Mercoledi- Perhaps someone will see it and identify it for me-that would be so awesome! As for FF...I think it has more to do with the top-which if I got the fabric and got the dress made, I could kind of edit it out-I'm guessing there is some kind of pleating there which is creating those lines-which would probably be easy enough to get rid of. What do you think?

They are always loaners at premiers, the stars never (or almost never) own the actual dresses. It''s like product placement for the designers!

That''s how the same person turns up wearing the same dress sometimes and everyone blames the designer--b/c they have a list of whom they loaned things to.
