LOL Freke! That was one heck of a story. I promise when we go out, I will let you walk in flip flops between pictures lol. Cause that totally sounds like something I would do to myself. I can''t tell you the amount of times I have fallen/nearly fallen in high heels...drunk or not. At least you had an excuse.

vetrik, if you ever find a decent brand with wide widths, let me know! I''ll return the favor asap. The only place I have found in Payless, oddly enough. They have cute stuff sometimes, but mostly it''s super skinny heels which I just cannot bring myself to wear unless I am sitting down all night lol.

Goodness! Freke, I love all your shoes! I wore all those heels when I was an employee and single (haha, maybe to flaunt, flirt and attract men, I don''t think that really worked cos it wasn''t my shoes my husband was attracted to.. hehehe) Anyway. I wear mostly shorter heels or flats these days and on occasion for meetings, function and events. My mother-in-law made a remarks when she open our shoe closet, "Why do you need so many shoes?.. I only need one.." Sure, my running shoes would go with the suit, dress and swimsuit.

Well, that''s another thread altogether.

Nonetheless, all those shoes on our rack, 90% are my husband''s. I only have 12 pairs. Thanks for sharing!

That''s funny - I''ve been buying a lot of pairs at Payless lately! I am actually up to about 5 pairs of heels now, thanks to Payless. I actually wore a pair of heels yesterday - they were 5.5 wide and they were still big. I think I should go down to a 5 wide. I tried a few pairs of Naturalizer because I''d heard they were good for wide widths, but their wide was not wide enough for me. I''ve also had surprising luck lately with Merona pumps at Target - I bought one (I think called Addie) in a beautiful Pewter color on clearance for $4. It''s the most comfortable heel I''ve ever owned. The first week I had them, I wore them to work all day, and then to an event at a casino with a lot of walking. I wore them for 13-14 hours with no pain. I went back and bought them in brown too. I''ll attach the picture - they''re not that exciting, but they are actually pretty cute in person.

Freke - that is quite a story! The suffering for shoe beauty! I appreciate your offer for help. I usually need a 5 or 5.5 wide, and brands like Naturalizer that have a "narrow" wide are still too narrow for me! I''m always looking for heeled sandals and strappy shoes - those are the kind of shoes I have the hardest time finding.

Oh My Lord, Freke! Your shoe collection is amazing!!!!!

Wow, I am drooling over those green satin peep-toes! I need exactly that colour peep-toe satin for when my sister gets married (if she ever does).

I''m just . . . omg, LUST!!!!

Damn woman! You have tons of shoes. The Steve Madden gold shoes and SM silver shoes are my favourites.

It's a good thing Freke. I think you have more shoes than my stepmom and let me tell you, she has a lot. I always get her shoes as gifts.

Freke is making me crave shoes, this could get very unhealthy for my bank account...

Elle Consider me an open book. And that''s probably one of my most embarrassing stories, so no biggie.

MP Sounds good to me! I''m much better at walking in flat shoes. (Sometimes!)

hibiscus Hahahahaha at your mother-in-law! She sounds like my mom! She will wear tennis shoes with any outfit--this is partially because her feet are messed up, but still. And how many pairs of shoes does your husband own if you have 12 pairs and he''s got 90% of them?! That is impressive!

vetrik If I find anything, I will let you (and MP) know! For sure! And let me know if you need anything in particular.

LTP Your post made me chuckle. So enthusiastic! Thank you for your kind words!

Addy I saw those SM gold ones, and HAD TO HAVE THEM. It was a need, not a want.

I wish they''d make them in a black leather so I can have two pairs!

Penn What kind of shoes do you get your stepmom? So far this is starting to sound like a great reason to have kids!!!

Dragonfly I am the ultimate shoe-buying enabler.

So if you need enabling, you know where to find me!

I''m thinking there is a market in shoe addiction rehab. I need to look into the business prospects of that line of work.

I''ll be your first customer, and probably your second, third, fourth, fifth...etc.

What took you so long to find this thread lady? I missed you while you were gone!

My goodness, Freke...thanks so much for the chuckle! Sadly, I envisioned myself in your position and had images of my flailing down stairs (or across any flat surface, really) and having the same thing happen...lucklily, most of my clothes stayed in place.

My ankles give out at random, in flat shoes, heels, flip flops, etc... I think one of my most embarassing moments was at Back to School Night several years ago where I had a knee length skirt on...I took a step back and fell ass over tea kettle and hit a bookcase behind me. Apparently, the color of my undies was a topic of many a conversation amongst the first grade parents and staff, and I still have yet to live it down.

I still wear heels to school every day, but I have worn pants to Back to School Night every year since...

Well my goal this week has been to wear shoes I haven''t in a while, in hopes of getting rid of the craving..... needless to say, I''ll be visiting target this week for some cute flat since I have a gift card

i am in awe. i think that your shoe show may have been the fix i needed to keep me from buying more shoes. i just posted yesterday that the shoes are spilling out of my closet 4 ft into the bedroom

ommm........WOW!!!!

TEACH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Freke, I think everyone needs to have a story like that--mine involved falling down a flight of concrete steps wearing a short skirt--miraculously my akido/judo skills kicked in and I managed to roll and not hurt myself beyond a skid on my shoulder (but I still heard an earful about the underwear I wore that evening).

Stairs + drinking do not mix. Also, even when I was in college (when this happened), I didn't normally drink like that. Darn hallmates deciding they were going to get me plastered....I don't think I've had that much to drink since!

Anyhow, the point of this post is to say that your shoes are amazing and I am totally and completely jealous. Kris doesn't even get excited when I wear the heels I do have. Not even my amazing gold She-Ra boots!

Whatever I think she might like. She goes gaga over Jimmy Choo, so I can''t go wrong there, and then she also like Louboutin.
