I am new to ps after peeking for weeks as I decided how to reset my 1.3 H VS2 round diamond. I decided the previous setting took up coverage left to right, and I was looking for more coverage towards the knuckle of my long skinny fingers! So a halo was born. I ended up using a combination if the kwiat floating basket halo idea and the highly adored Harry Winston as my inspiration. Please comment...I am still trying to decide about my outcome!

Love it! It reminds me of mine :) I haven't seen a lot of halos with this profile.

Thank you. ylapis, what shape is your center stone? Do you like the setting style? I did not think I wanted stems and the floating basket idea seemed so simple and perfect with a wedding band.

Mine is a 1.51 cushion center. I wanted to make sure the diamond was the focal point, and wanted to keep it relatively "metal free" (although I do love the look of an intricate basket).

mine looks similar from the side view! FI picked out the setting and I thought it was so neat to be able to see so much of the diamond.

Are you happy with it? I like it I think it looks elegant on your hand and gives great finger coverage in general rather than across your finger like the previous setting did.

Thank you. I don't miss the 3 stone at all! I had the side stones halo ed and made into studs and they are great! My lingering doubt over my new setting is about the halo. I sort of wish I had gone with round halo. I think mine is a bit too square? Also I went with the floating basket but maybe think I should have gone with stems. I do love the coverage on my finger!

WOW!!!! That looks twice the size!! Is it really the same stone?

I love the reset. I really like the square halo (I'm partial to angular shapes). It looks very elegant on your hard.

Would love to see photos of your earrings too!

I like it a lot. It gives your ring a lot more presence. And I partial to square/cushion halos. Well done!!

It's beautiful... Could the designer possibly soften the corners for you? If that is the only thing bothering you maybe it could be adjusted.

Thank you, I guess I tried to tell the jewelry story where I bought it about the corners soooo many times, but he was not the bench, just the owner. I also think this is their version of a cushion! I also realize I would have preferred stems under the diamond unstead of the streamlined floating basket profile. I picked this, but now it looks like a floating disc from the side view. I love how much bigger it looks but not all the details.

Hi! :wavey:

You truly do have a beautiful new ring, but I TOTALLY get it. You want to love absolutely EVERYTHING about your ring, which is one of the reasons for doing the reset to begin with. And no matter how hard you try, you you just don't love it like you should. I've been there! Where are you at right now with everything? As beautiful as your ring is, if you don't completely love it and you don't think you ever will, I really hope that you find a way to work it all out!
