The stones are 1 pointers and it's micropave.

Im in the process of working with CADs to finialise my new emerald cut halo. I also want minimal metal, but I wondered with your centre dimensions PLUS the melee added to it (1.3mm + 1.3mm on length and the same on to width) - what is the TOTAL halo dimensions approx.?

I'm actually in the process of laser tattoo removal. I'm starting to find it detracts from my rings...LOL...I just want it gone!

Were you wanting to know the measurements for my center stone and halo together? It's roughly 8.21mm x 6.71mm.

Does that help? If not, please elaborate...I'm a little slow tonight!

I'd love to work with DK or any of the other "famous" jewellers but being in Australia I just don't want to tack on all the extra cost and stress!

Do you fe one pointers in your halo gives your centre the oomph you wanted? It looks perfect to me! I'm toying with 1/2 or 1 pointers and still a little undecided. My centre is 8.64 x 6.45 so either will work..

DK is awesome!!

I would've loved to work with the big names like VC, LM or SK but they all require you to send in your stone and my fiance was iffy about doing that...it was already hard enough getting him to agree to the reset! He doesn't get that my diamond is small fry compared to what they're used to working with.

I'm in Canada myself and working with DK was a breeze. We exchanged a few emails, I told him what I wanted and the setting was made and shipped to me.

I think the 1 pointers give me a nice amount of finger coverage without overpowering my stone.

To be honest, meelee size comes down to personal preference and how delicate you'd like the halo to look. That's a nice sized diamond you have there and I think it would look beautiful with 1 pointers...heck, it would look beautiful with 1/2 pointers!

Ohhhh!! I didn't realize he made the setting and sent it unset! Did you just have a local jeweller set it? Did you provide a sarin image so his measurements were exactly precise?? This could work perfectly!! I'm afraid no one in Australia is quite up to the Victers, Leon's etc of America!!

He just asked for my stone measurements and when I had it set locally, it was an almost perfect match. The stone sits a tad higher in the setting...probably because it was made a little small, but it's close enough not to matter to me.

Just to give you an idea, look closely at the following picture...do you see how high the claw prongs come up?
