This thread is too cute!!!

My SO always remembers to buy me a couple of my favorite chocolates whenever he''s at the store. But what I like even better, is when we''re out at a sushi restaurant he always picks the biggest and best looking pieces and gives them to me.

Lol: also when we eat popcorn, he knows I only like the ones with some butter on them so he eats all the white kernels and leaves me the rest.

I think I''m a very food oriented person, so it always makes me very happy!

Oh alright, I just have add to this.

BF recently had an art project that I was apart of and a stuffed animal. Long story short we have this stuffed animal now, so for a couple of days BF would leave the stuffed animal in places kind of "waiting" for me. Like right in front of the door when I get home from work, or in the fridge when I go to get something to eat. It''s just the cutest thing.

I don''t know how long this is going to go on for, but I keep finding pictures of animals in my purse that come out of no where. Then when I ask BF about the pictures he''ll respond with (Why do you like lions so much?!). It''s all just silly, but it all makes me smile so much.
I love the fun quirky things.

Last night BF made me so happy. I got a serious CHOCOLATE CRAVING--I mean hard! It was late at night, around the time we are getting ready for bed. After poking around in the kitchen, to no avail, I must of made a comment as we were watching TV. A few minutes later I went into the bedroom to change and as I am coming out I hear the front door close. He left! 15 minutes later he walks in the door with a bar of the most delicious and darkest organic chocolate--my favorite! He said "Anything for you..." Tons of kisses followed because chocolate does that to me...

Stuff like that. I think when you've been together a long time romance changes. For instance I may not get love notes or flowers all the time but, for example, he always makes me healthy (but disgusting!) concoctions and sees that I take my vitamins everyday--just so I stay healthy. That to me screams "I love you."

LadyPirate, this is SUCH cute thread! Thanks for starting it.

My FI loves playing with my dog, sometimes when she''s all played-out she curls up next to him and they nap together on the rug. It''s SO CUTE. I think that''s how she learned to use a pillow.

He cleans the kitchen... which rocks my world-- every time

My hubby always gives me a kiss goodbye in the morning before he goes to work. He''s in the Navy and travels out to sea for a long time. Sometimes, some of the simplest things leave the biggest impression.

Ohhh, I love it when BF will run to the deli for me to get chocolate (even in the pouring rain) when I have a terrible craving! That''s a big part of our relationship. :)
Sounds like you''ve picked a a great guy, too!

BigT: Definitely! My guy is not the mushy romantic but he definitely does little things--he might not even know he''s being romantic. Sometimes I have to remind myself of how he does things for me and even though it might not seem text-book romantic, in retrospect, its the best kind of display.

Sounds like yours is as loving as can be.

LOL--Kris always cleans the bathroom, which is awesome. In return, I fold laundry, which is a chore he hates. It''s great because we both think we''re getting the better end of the deal!

He gets home around 4PM and I, not until 5:30 - 6:00PM. So, our deal is: he cleans up the house when he gets home as long as I cook him a yummy dinner when I get home--I love to cook, so for me, I''ve got the better end of the deal...hehe.

I love this thread!

For our 1 year anniversary I made him a sock monkey. He had mentioned a couple times that he wanted me to make one so I thought it would be an okay gift. Well, he absolutely loves his monkey now it's so cute! He made me make another soon after. It's girl monkey so I HAD to make her smaller with girlie lips and all. He's named them and he treats them like they are our babies. They sleep with us every night which means they travel between our two places with me. Usually he gets up earlier so he makes sure I have both of them to cuddle with so no is left out. Today he had a day off so when I went to kiss him goodbye he was cuddled up in bed with the 2 monkeys and both of our dogs. It was about the cutest thing I've ever seen! Just thinking about it makes me smile.

ETA: I can't resist. He also has really good taste, loves to shop, and help pick out outfits so this weekend my sister had a date and wanted to get ready at my place she showed him her outfit and he had her change like 3 different times. Finally he said "Those clothes don't fit you right. You look skinny. Have you been eating?" (alright I admit typing it out it doesn't look right but it was cute I promise). He knows how to compliment a girl he's so sincere about it, and it makes my heart melt weather he does it for me or another woman in our lives.

Okay I got another one too!

V-day was our anniversary, but I was so sick that we couldn''t go out. My parents invited us over for dinner so we didn''t have to make anything, and his parents came too (they''re friends). We did a toast and he looked at me and said "Happy anniversary my love". I melted. And our moms were all awwww-faced. Adorable!

What a great Thread!
I have a few:
1. Until he moved to NY, he drove down from Boston (3-4 hours) to be with me almost every single weekend for nearly 4 years-even in the rain, snowstorms, sleet- you name it, he drove in it! And he would often leave late on sunday evening to get back for class or work on a Monday morning, just to spend more of the day with me! (even though I would want him to leave earlier for his safty!)
2. He moved to NY to be with me...

3. When he answers the phone he often says, "hello, beautiful girl". I like that.

4. He loves to suprize me by bringing me something sweet (i.e.chocolate)

5. He dances and sings in front of me (which is AWFUL, haha!), and only me, just to make me laugh!
6. He is a very talented neo-classical shred guitarist, and he also has a band- and during one of his shows, he suprized me by learning, dedicating, and playing a very difficult-to-play song that I really like, just for me!! It was very well done and very sweet!

Ok- just one more!!
I was traveling to Boston on a 4 hour train ride to see him after teaching all day in NYC and lugging my overnight bag around with me, and BF came to pick me up at the station, and I noticed a bag of Thai food on the front seat. I was so happy b/c I was so tired and starving and without having told him, that was exactly what I was craving! I noticed he was all flushed and damp from the drizzly weather, and the bag of food was damp too and I asked what happened. He said that since the Red Sox were playing that night, he realized he couldnt park anywhere near the resturant to pick up the food, and so he parked about a mile or so away and ran (b/c he had to pick me up soon) that entire way in his steel toed boots to pick up food for me! The thing is, if he had picked a different thai resturant, this wouldn't have been a problem, but he went to Brown Sugar Cafe, which was voted the best Thai food in Boston, and he said he wanted me to have the best! I thought that was soo sweet!
30.gif
I will always remember that!

Everything he does make me smile. Honestly, he truely is a caring person... I got sunburned last weekend and every time I started inching my dry skin he ran and got the aloe... literally, EVERY time. He takes my dogs out when it''s raining so I don''t have to get wet and he irons the laundry because he knows I hate it.

He sits inbetween my parents when the feeling in the room is particularly awkward (they just recently got devorced after 30 years and we are still adjusting) just so I can take a breather. He is great... I''m a very lucky girl.

Ahhh, this thread makes me want to go give him a big ol'' kiss!

J is now talking about learning how to make cheesy scalloped potatoes (he''s got another 3 weeks to learn before I''m back in the UK). Mmmm, au gratin potatoes...
